Wales was one of the competing nations at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.^[1] This marks the country's 23rd participation at the games, since making its debut at the 1930 British Empire Games, the inaugural edition of the event which evolved to become the Commonwealth Games. The team is competing under a new bilingual branding as 'cymru|wales' and 'Tim Cymru|Team Wales' for the first time.^[2].

On 19 June 2026, Team Wales announced its team of 114 athletes across 10 sports. A bipartite invitation to the men's and women's 3 x 3 wheelchair basketball event announced on that date means that the Welsh team are represented in ten sports in the 2026 Games.^[3]^[4]

Boxer Rosie Eccles was the country's opening ceremony flagbearer.^[5] Meanwhile, bowler Daniel Salmon was the baton bearer during the opening ceremony.^[5]

Track Cyclist Emma Finucane was chosen to be the closing ceremony flagbearer after her historic performance throughout the games.^[6]

Emma Finucane became the first ever cyclist to win all four sprint events at the same Commonwealth Games, as well as the first Welsh woman to do so. She won gold in the team sprint, individual sprint, 1000m time trial and keirin while setting a Commonwealth Games record in the team sprint with a 46.760s alongside teammates Lowri Thomas and Rhian Edmunds. Wales ended the Games with a total of 31 medals.^[7]
