Wang Shengming (Chinese: 王胜明; born November 1956) is a Chinese jurist and former senior official of the National People’s Congress (NPC). He served as a member of the Standing Committee of both the 12th and 13th NPC, Vice Chairman of the Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee during the 12th NPC, and later Vice Chairman of the Supervisory and Judicial Affairs Committee during the 13th NPC. He is widely known for his contributions to the drafting and revision of major civil and commercial legislation in China, including his role as a principal drafter of the Contract Law of the People's Republic of China.[1]
