Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page is for reporting active edit warriors and recent violations of restrictions like the three-revert rule.
- See this guide for instructions on creating diffs for this report.
- If you see that a user may be about to violate the three-revert rule, consider warning them by placing {{subst:uw-3rr}} on their user talk page.
You must notify any user you have reported.
You may use {{subst:An3-notice}} ~~~~ to do so.
You can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.
- Additional notes
- When reporting a user here, your own behavior will also be scrutinized. Be sure you understand WP:REVERT and the definitions below first.
- The format and contents of a 3RR/1RR report are important, use the "Click here to create a new report" button below to have a report template with the necessary fields to work from.
- Possible alternatives to filing here are dispute resolution, or a request for page protection.
- Violations of other restrictions, like WP:1RR violations, may also be brought here. Your report should include two reverts that occurred within a 24-hour period, and a link to where the 1RR restriction was imposed.

Edit warring over party ideologies at New Party (Brazil) (Result: Page protected)
Will attach users and reporting later, but I did want admins to be aware there is an edit war going at New Party (Brazil). guninvalid (talk) 05:46, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

In some cases, such as Special:Permalink/1343712228 and Special:Permalink/1342865560, the editors admit that to a WP:COI over party ideologies. What action, if any, is acceptable? guninvalid (talk) 17:28, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- The only thing I did at that page was replacing a raster version of the party's logo with an SVG one I found at the party's website. But my edit was reverted along with edits by other users. I accidentally reverted the revert, when what I should have done was to just replace the raster logo with the SVG. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 17:31, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- I've checked the page edit history right now. After I inserted the vector version of the logo, most of the edits at the page have been made by Czello. I haven't made any further edits to that page. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 17:34, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, my first edit was 4 days ago (not February) to remove unreliable sources and WP:OR. I then started a talk page discussion to explain these in more detail and encouraged others to join. No one as of yet has contributed. The IP with a COI has simply reinstated unreliable sourcing (including a WP:MEDIUM blog) and misprepresented the sources.
- I think including me in this report is perhaps jumping the gun, as so far I am the only person to actually use the talk page. — Czello (music) 19:21, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

- I don't think anyone is doing themselves a favor by displaying political things on their user page while being active in politics-related disputes on Wikipedia. That said, it's irrelevant. I didn't mention their block because of politics. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:16, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

User:Zalaraz reported by User:Pranay Dongre 27 (Result: Declined as malformed)
Page: B. R. Ambedkar (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
User being reported: Zalaraz (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
The user Zalaraz appears to be getting in an edit warring and is constantly reverting my edits citing that I'm somehow glorifying the subject when in reality I was just rearranging photos by taking inspiration from other articles such as Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. He has previously reverted my edits saying that I am citing unreliable sources however I was citing only from archives, letters and reliable books, he's actually vilifying the subject and the current version of the article is misconstrued and taken out of context to defame him.
Declined – malformed report. Please use the "Click here to create a new report" link at the top of this page, which gives a template report, and provide complete diffs. Please use the standard template, or take it to AN/I. Daniel Case (talk) 20:06, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Not a 3RR situation -- but definitely edit warring to push a POV. Repeatedly trying to blank the (sourced) section about women who made historic firsts related to the unit/course is problematic; claiming that it because a section on women is "irrelevant" is just sexist. Does not appear to understand what "consensus" means per his edit summaries (e.g., "ive given enough consesus about the changes you are plainly incorrect"). Refuses to engage on the article talk page, but has now devolved to swearing at me on his own talk page. ⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 15:56, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Repeatedly blanking the page to an inappropriate redirect, with unclear edit summaries about suspected sockpuppetry on the Japanese Wikipedia. Repeated re-addition of "Leader of Iran" position to infobox despite reversions by at least three users (including myself) and no consensus on talk. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 22:08, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

- MarketFruit, are you aware of the following policy?
~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:02, 17 March 2026 (UTC)The responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on editors seeking to include disputed content.
— Wikipedia:Verifiability § Build consensus- Yes. MarketFruit (talk) 23:07, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- MarketFruit, why did you ignore it then? You said above "there wasn't ever a consensus" yet you restored the material repeatedly. It seems that either you were unaware of the policy or you intentionally ignored it in this case. If there's a reason for that, please share it. I'd like to close this without action but I can't do so if there's no reason to believe it wouldn't happen again elsewhere. A good reason would be you having learned about a policy or you having had a specific reason unique to this situation. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:15, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
