Peer review isn't like GA or DYK nomination -- it's normal and expected that more than one editor will review a nomination, and that different editors will do so in different levels of depth. There's no need to close a review page once the first person has given their perspective, unless you think you've got all the input you need from the process. • @RGloucester: I would also recommend keeping the PR open if you want additional comments. If looking for more reviewers, I suggest posting on the Wikiprojects attached to the article. For future reference, what does "If a review is answered and the nominator is inactive for more than one week." mean for the review's closure? If there are many points in a partially completed peer review and I'm going through them, do I need to post updates to the peer review page? Is it not enough to actively work on the article itself? Hey everyone, I've gotten great feedback for my peer review (Wikipedia:Peer_review/Perrine_Dugué/archive1), so I tried (and failed) to close it a week ago. I correctly added the "closed peer review" template to the review page, but then on the article's Talk page I didn't follow the directions fully Special:Diff/1360772571. I realized my mistake yesterday and tried to "close" the peer review on the Talk page again Special:Diff/1361303766. But it's been a day & I still see the article in the "current" peer review category: Category:History_peer_reviews

Is there a way to fix this? I've read that the bot will close it after 2 weeks of inactivity — will that still work, in this case? Thank you — Chao Garden 🌱 ~ say hello 05:43, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

Hey Chao Garden, there were some templates on the review page that needed removing in order to deactivate it — I've made the change.
