Les six équipes sont réunies dans une poule unique où elles s'affrontent toutes en matchs aller-retour, soit dix journées de compétition. Les quatre meilleures équipes se qualifient pour les demi-finales[1],[2]. La finale est jouée à Édimbourg, au Hive Stadium[3].

Comme lors des éditions précédentes les deux franchises irlandaises sont « itinérantes » et disputent leurs rencontres à travers toute l'Irlande.
