歴史
気候
ケッペンの気候区分ではステップ気候に区分される。雨季と乾季の差が明瞭であり、10月から5月前半までは乾季で、特に乾季の終了する4月は高温と乾燥が厳しくなる。雨季は4か月少々であるが、7月から8月を中心に雨量が多くなり極端な高温の日も少なくなる。
