隠れたチャンピオン

隠れたチャンピオン(かくれたちゃんぴおん、ドイツ語:Hidden champions,ドイツ語略称:H.C.)は、ドイツのハーマン・サイモン によって提唱された経営学上の用語。比較的規模は小さく、一般的な知名度は低いが、ある分野において、非常に優れた実績・きわめて高い市場シェアを持つ会社のことを指す。
ドイツの経営思想家であり、コンサルティング会社サイモン・クチャーアンドパートナーズ創業者でもあるハーマン・サイモンが、ドイツのビジネス出版物のタイトルとして使用し、ドイツにおける小規模だが、高度に専門化され、世界市場でもリーダーとなっている企業群について説明したことから広まった概念である。 [1]
