Die Alkoholkrankheit (auch Alkoholabhängigkeit, Äthylismus, Dipsomanie, Potomanie, Trunksucht, Alkoholsucht oder Alkoholismus genannt) ist die Abhängigkeit von Alkohol, insbesondere der psychotropen Substanz Ethanol (Äthylalkohol). Gemäß WHO-Schätzung hatten Stand 2024 weltweit 3,7 % aller Erwachsenen eine Alkoholabhängigkeit.
