- 8 January – Gladis Aurora López Calderón, the vice president of the National Congress of Honduras, is injured after being hit with an explosive device at a National Party press briefing inside the Legislative Palace.[2]
- 17 January – A magnitude 5.7 earthquake hits Omoa, damaging 50 houses.[3]
- 27 January – Nasry Asfura is sworn in as the new president of Honduras for the 2026–2030 term.[4]

- 4 March – Honduras cancels a cooperation agreement with Cuba that allowed Cuban medical professionals to operate in the country.[5]
