The Nets entered the draft holding their one first-round selection and two second-round selections.[1][2] Unlike the two other selections, the 43rd pick is an additional second-round selection that originally belonged to the Los Angeles Clippers and acquired by Brooklyn from the Houston Rockets as the least favorable pick from a four-team pool in a 2025 seven-team trade that sent Kevin Durant to Houston.[3]
