In 2014, he co‑founded FoMaSystems, a German company specialising in camera stabilization systems for cinema and broadcast production.

Togehther with Curt O. Schaller he developed the (Artemis) Trinity system in 2015. This camera stabilization system integrated mechanical and electronic stabilization technologies.[5]

ARRI released Trinity 2, the updated version of the Trinity system, in 2022.[6][7]

In Los Angeles 2025, Foltyn and Schaller received a Scientific and Technical Award (Oscar) from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, recognizing their contributions to innovations in remote camera head stabilization.[8][9][10][11][12]

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences stated: "The ARRI Trinity 2 is a body-worn system that combines a traditional inertial camera stabilization system with electronic gimbal technology, allowing unprecedented freedom of camera movement for acquiring shots with multiple transitions that are otherwise unobtainable."[13]

Foltyn was honored for the software and hardware design of its motorized stabilized head, while Schaller was recognized for the concept, design, and development of the Trinity 2 system.[14][15][16][17]
