Italian contemporary artist Lucabluini (talk) 15:56, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
My first draft
Hi, we corresponded a few days ago. I've been enjoying following the guides on Wikipedia and editing some entries for a few days. I also created a new entry. I wanted to see if I could get some help with publishing. Luca Lucabluini (talk) 15:41, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Lucabluini: Ciao! I would recommend holding off for a few days. I will see about putting together a Wikidata item for Roberto Cafarotti during that time. This is useful for having the {{authority control}} template, which is an indicator, although not proof, of notability. That template provides linked data to things like what is at viaf
.org . I am in the middle of moving, so I cannot do it immediately./en /viaf /search?field=local%2Cnames&index=VIAF&searchTerms=Roberto+Cafarotti
- I generally like to have at least ten citations for a new article. Some editors make do with less, but I find that having an article challenged is much less likely with that many citations. I recommend incorporating more of the citation that you have at it:Utente:Lucabluini/Roberto Cafarotti into the draft while I work on the Wikidata item. Peaceray (talk) 18:24, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for your teachings and attention. Happy moving! I'll start my move on March 15th. They say it's the most stressful after pregnancy, unless you plan it calmly and well. I hope so. In the meantime, I'll get some more citations as suggested. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucabluini (talk • contribs) 18:33, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
@::Peaceray Hi, I've included just over 10 citations, but I've found at least 10 more online. These seem the most authoritative. In addition to these, which were intentionally left out, there are also articles from independent newspapers like "Il Resto del Carlino," "La Stampa Reggiana," "Ciao Como," etc., as well as a Russian blog with a Cyrillic focus on contemporary artists. It took me about an hour, but I think I've identified the most important citations. If I've missed any, will the others fill them in? Thanks, Luca. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucabluini (talk • contribs) 20:16, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Lucabluini: It looks like I may have conflated two different individuals named Roberto Cafarotti in the Roberto Cafarotti (Q138568341), one born in Bologna in 1961 & the other born in Rome in 1978. I will need to split the 1961 fellow into another Wikidata item. That will probably not happen today. Peaceray (talk) 20:53, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
@Peaceray: If this helps you, I think most relevant one is 1978. Asking to AI (grok): The most relevant Roberto Cafarotti for potential inclusion on Wikipedia (particularly the English or Italian editions) is the Italian contemporary figurative artist born in Rome on August 21, 1978.
This individual stands out due to: - A dedicated personal website (cafarotti.it or cafarotti.com) presenting him as a full-time practicing artist with sections for biography, works, exhibitions, and projects (e.g., "Progetto CAFA"). - Active presence on art platforms like Artmajeur, where he sells and describes his oil-on-canvas paintings (e.g., La Via del Lavoro 2024, Solitudine e Libertà 2025, Poison 2025, Rendez-vous 2026). - Auction records on sites such as MutualArt, Barnebys, and Catawiki, with multiple works listed and sold in recent years (including 2025–2026 pieces). - A published exhibition catalog/monograph: Roberto Cafarotti. Life is a Game (Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori, 2025), tied to his solo show in Campione d'Italia (May 2025). - Social media and YouTube channels focused on his art career, vernissages, and projects. - Claims of connections to notable Italian artists (e.g., Athos Faccincani, Alfonso Borghi, Paolo da San Lorenzo)

Hi @Peaceray:
I hope you're doing well. Just a gentle nudge regarding the Draft:Roberto Cafarotti that I (Lucabluini) started and submitted for review. We were making good progress, and the last step was for you to revisit and update/fix the Wikidata items, as you had noticed there are currently two separate Roberto Cafarotti entries that need proper disambiguation or merging/alignment to avoid confusion.
If it would help speed things up or make it easier, I'm more than happy to assist with the Wikidata side myself (e.g., proposing merges, adding sources, or cleaning up statements) — just let me know what needs doing and I'll jump in. Otherwise, I'm fully available to help finalize the draft correctly in any other way, answer questions, provide additional reliable sources, or make adjustments based on your feedback.
No rush, of course — just checking in to see if there's any update or if I can support the next steps toward approval.
Thanks so much for your time and help with this!
Best regards, Luca

Hi Peaceray,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply despite everything on your plate — I really appreciate your ongoing availability and the incredible work you do on Wikipedia. Every day I learn something new thanks to contributions like yours; it's truly inspiring.
No worries at all about the timing — take all the time you need with the move and settling in. Whenever you're back and have a moment, I'll still be here, ready to help with the Wikidata alignment (the two Roberto Cafarotti items), provide more sources, or make any tweaks to the draft to get it over the line.
In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful weekend — hope you get some good rest and smooth sailing with the move!
Warm regards and grazie mille, Lucabluini (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucabluini (talk • contribs) 19:49, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks Peaceray for support Lucabluini (talk) 07:19, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
Hello dear @Peaceray: I'm counting on your help if you've got free Lucabluini (talk) 15:37, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry Lucabluini, but I have recently moved & am catching up with all the changes that entails. I will get back to Roberto Cafarotti (Q138568341) & Draft:Roberto Cafarotti as I am able. Peaceray (talk) 04:43, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- My turn will be soon. Tomorrow evening I'll receive the keys to the new house and I'll move in this Sunday. Lucabluini (talk) 06:52, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi @Peaceray:
I just completed my move and I'm more free if we want to get together on our task Lucabluini (talk) 11:22, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Lucabluini: I should be able to attend to this on the weekend. Peaceray (talk) 18:30, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks 🙏 Lucabluini (talk) 14:42, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Lucabluini: Okay, a few things:
- You should always be indenting on your response. See Help:Talk pages#Indentation. If for some reason you need to comeback to no indentation, then you should use {{od}}.
- I separated out the incorrectly combined Wikidata item into Roberto Cafarotti (Q138756612), the person who this article depicts, & Roberto Cafarotti (Q138568341).
- You have about eight footnotes (refs) that are sitting under the References section. These need to be place inline in the body sections that precede any any appendix like the references section. See H:FOOT.
- As per MOS:REFSPACE, please remove any spaces before a
<ref>tag.
- Peaceray (talk) 06:13, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks @Peaceray Just two last things:
- 1. I checked and Roberto Cafarotti studied in Rome and not Palermo.
- 2. What are the next steps to submit for publication? Will you support me? Thanks, Luca. Lucabluini (talk) 18:22, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
- Deleted place of education from Roberto Cafarotti (Q138756612)
- Please take care of the wayward footnotes & MOS:REFSPACE that I noted above.
- Peaceray (talk) 20:11, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Peaceray: Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I have corrected the spaces before the <ref> tags (per MOS:REFSPACE) and moved all the footnote definitions inline into the body text (before the References section), as per H:FOOT. There are no more "orphaned" notes under References. Let me know if this looks good now or if anything else needs to be adjusted. Thanks again for your patience!
