IRAS 23389+0300 is an ultraluminous infrared galaxy located in the constellation of Pisces. The redshift of the object is (z) 0.145[1] and it was first discovered in 1971 in the Parkes Catalogue of Radio Sources survey.[2] With its total luminosity estimated to be 2.3 × 1012 L, it is one of the most powerful infrared galaxies and a known radio galaxy.[3] This object has also been described as a Type 2 Seyfert galaxy.[4]
