Quernes (French pronunciation: [kɛʁn]; West Flemish: Kernes) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France.region of France[3] 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Béthune and 32 miles (51 km) west of Lille. The inhabitants are called the Quernois.

The commune is part of the Communauté d'agglomération de Béthune-Bruay, Artois-Lys Romane which brings together 100 communes and has 276,094 inhabitants in 2020.[citation needed]
