Saint-Nicolas-des-Bois (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ nikɔla de bwa] ) is a commune in the Orne department in north-western France.[3]

The commune is made up of the following collection of villages and hamlets, Saint-Nicolas-des-Bois, Le Froust, Les Vignes, Clerchenay and Pinchèvre.[4]

The commune along with 26 others contains part of the Forêt d'Écouves.[5]

The Commune along with another 11 communes shares part of a 5,255 hectare, Natura 2000 conservation area, called the Vallée du Sarthon et affluents.[6]

La Briante is the sole watercourse that flows through the commune.[7]
