"The bridge ... is often photographed"

If it's worth mentioning like that, then it's surely worth putting a photo of it here. Anyone have a useable one? 86.132.138.159 (talk) 16:25, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Now done. Skinsmoke (talk) 16:10, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Mynydd Mawr Coastguard building

I have removed the following to the Talk page as I am unable to find a citation for it. Can anyone help? :-

"The Coastguard building, which was manned occasionally, later had one of two four-minute warning devices in the area during the Cold War."

Great work

Happened across this page and it's a great piece of work about a lovely place. Well done to all who contributed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.33.5.170 (talk) 02:21, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

I heartily concur. An excellent job. I wish the other articles about places on Llyn were as good. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 22:30, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

Images and captions

The article is currently a little untidy, and potentially distracting and consequently difficult to absorb due to the amount of media and attached lengthy captions. See WP:LAYIM and WP:Caption for guidance on best use of image and captions. See also Wikipedia:Good article criteria which has criteria related to these aspects of image layout and captions. SilkTork ✔Tea time 22:07, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

If it had been somebody of lesser standing here I'd have simply reverted the tagging but @SilkTork: I disagree with you that it has too many images. Perhaps one or two could be taken out of Bardsey and Porthor to comply with guidelines but overall I think there's a nice balance of images and the article is better off for it. I agree with you though that some of the captions ought to be reduced.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:10, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
I've had a go at cleaning up the images, reducing captions, and rearranging layout to reduce weight. In the end I didn't remove much media, though I feel that more reduction can take place - the population chart is fairly loud, yet for all the space it takes up and attention it gets, it tells the reader very little: that the population of Aberdaron has been stable since 1801. We still have two photos of the same beach, and two photos of the same hotel - though from different angles. But such choices are often editorial, as indicated by Dr. Blofield. I have removed the tag. SilkTork ✔Tea time 08:22, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Much better, thanks.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:26, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Carreg

I am looking at why the page for Carreg is redirected to Aberdaron? What about the meaning in English? CarRegNumberPlates (talk) 11:12, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

Article review

It has been a while since this article has been reviewed, so I took a look and noticed the following:

  • The "Demographics" section has not been updated since the 2022 Scottish census results were released.
  • There are uncited statements in the article.

Should this article go to WP:GAR? Z1720 (talk) 15:39, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

Result: Kept. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 14:07, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

The "demographics" section has not been updated since the 2021 UK census was released. There are also uncited statements in the article, including entire paragraphs. Z1720 (talk) 22:27, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

That was only four years ago. There are only a few citations needed. Not worth opening a GAR just for this. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:10, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
@Dr. Blofeld: Agreed that the last census was in 2021. However since the information has not been updated, the demographics information is from 2011, which is 14 years out of date as of this GAR. I think Wikipedia's status articles (like GAs and FAs) should not have information that is that far out of date: if an active, professional athlete's biography was missing 14 years of information, I would recommend a GAR. As for the citations: it might be a few that are needed, or it might be more depending on how much information the sources verify. The citations would have to added to the article before I recommend "keep". Would anyone like me to add "citation needed" tags to the places I think are uncited? Z1720 (talk) 14:19, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
I asked Markussep if he can update with 2021 figures. Demographics are just figures. Hardly an apt comparison to 14 years of missing career prose in an athlete's biography given that they only come around every ten years. I agree that it should be updated asap. The article looks pretty well sourced to me, but there may be a few more citations needed, feel free to identify them. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:38, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
@Dr. Blofeld: I added citation needed tags to the article. Z1720 (talk) 03:53, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I have added some sources and updated the article with data from the 2021 census. Please see now. There is a sentence which I couldn't verify that may be safe to remove. Gadzoocs (talk) 18:49, 6 June 2025 (UTC)

@Gadzoocs: If you can't verify the information, I think it would be safe to remove. Z1720 (talk) 22:49, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
