Nazi Amazonian revels

This phrase is perfectly legitimate in context but "bare-breasted variety show girls of the SS-Cavalry" is one of the most memorable phrases I've seen in one of our articles. Great title for a 1970s exploitation movie! Pascalulu88 (talk) 16:39, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Alexander and the Amazons

While you'd think "Alexander has a baby with an Amazon" is the sort of thing you'd find in the Alexander Romance, the Thalestris story is not in there (certainly not in the passage linked, which concerns a different supposed interaction between Alexander and the Amazons). A recent and conveniently online secondary source is Adrienne Mayor, "When Alexander Met Thalestris," History Today 65 (2015): 10-27, via ResearchGate, and the fullest ancient account is that of Quintus Curtius Rufus 6.5.24-32, online via the Hathi Trust. 198.7.247.59 (talk) 17:54, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
