Apumanque Mall, the first shopping center in Chile.

This is long enough, written in the right tone, thoroughly referenced with inline citations and nominated within three days of being moved to mainspace. A comparison of this English article with the text of the Spanish article assures me that the English text is new and not just a translation of the Spanish. Earwig finds no copyright violation. QPQ not needed. A few citations could do with more details: at least add the publisher or name of the website to the title/URL/date (especially refs 7 and 18), but this doesn't itself affect DYK eligibility.
- The image in this nomination is freely licensed by its photographer, but it isn't the one used in the article. DYK requirements include that an image must be used in the article: there is not much difference between the two images, but that's the rule. I suggest making a substitution either in the article or the nomination.
- It's hard to think of what would count as an interesting fact about a shopping center, but "first in the country" meets the threshold, I think. Does the reference actually support it being the first shopping center? "el pionero en el concepto de centros comerciales modernos en Chile." (or at least its Google translation into English) suggests it's the first of a modern type of shopping center, but "modernos" is vague.
Is there a better ref that establishes it as the first shopping centre, not just the first of a specific kind?Correction: This other reference used in the article establishes the claim categorically. So only the image issue needs to be addressed. MartinPoulter (talk) 14:32, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- @MartinPoulter: I replaced the image in the infobox and tried to expand the information in each source. Would the DYK nomination be ok now? Robert Motecinos Holda (talk) 17:24, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for responding so quickly and completely. I am happy with the hooks (with a preference for the first one) and with the image. This passes review. MartinPoulter (talk) 11:43, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
