Wikipedia bases article content on published reliable sources. You haven't provided any. AndyTheGrump (talk) 16:13, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
I see we already have an article on James Files, which notes that the FBI found Files' claims "not credible". An opinion apparently widely held. AndyTheGrump (talk) 16:20, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

More appropriate phrasing?

Would it be acceptable to rephrase the part in the main paragraph where Oswald is confirmed as the killer, to include the reference to the official body (Congressional investigating panel) that makes said conclusion? In the interest of fairness. Nathanieldjenkins (talk) 13:30, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

Accused but Proven

In the article all references about Oswald shooting and killing Kennedy, Connolly and Tippet were charges never proven in a court of law due to Oswald being shot and killed by Ruby. So by law anyone accused of a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Whether there is enough evidence to convict or is known publicly, without a conviction in a trial it is not enough to automatically label him as the killer. Therefore Lee Harvey Oswald is the Alleged killer and the article should reflect this fact. ~2026-25726-43 (talk) 19:24, 27 April 2026 (UTC)

And Hitler was not convicted. You can look through the archives to see the many times this has been discussed. We use reliable sources not our own logic. O3000, Ret. (talk) 12:02, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
A person who writes for a newspaper very soon learns certain tricks of the trade, arising out of necessity. Thus he must learn to call a murderer an alleged murderer, and the King of England the alleged King of England. This forestalls libel suits. -- Stephen Leacock (1939)
