- ... that in 2010, a Barbie doll designed by Canturi sold at auction for US$302,500, setting a world record?
- Reviewed:
- Comment: "World record" refers to both the world record for the most expensive Barbie doll sold, which it still holds today, but also for the most expensive toy sold, which it held until 2026 (see https://fox11online.com/news/entertainment/record-breaking-star-wars-action-figure-sells-for-over-13-million)

The article is new, well-written, and free of copyright violations (the highlighted passage is understandably a direct quote), and the images used are under suitable licenses. The hook is of an appropriate length and is supported by the sources. A quick QPQ check however, states that the nominator has submitted 5 articles for DYK including this article, so a QPQ is needed. To @Aesurias:, after you have done your QPQ, I have no further feedback. Thank you! :D SyFuelIgniteBurned 16:29, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- WP:QPQ reads "
If you have nominated five or more articles in the past
", and the automatic system (as noted above) states that I don't need to do a QPQ because I have fewer than 5 past nominations. Has the "past" thing changed, or am I misunderstanding? aesurias (ping me in your reply, or I won't see it) (talk) 16:46, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- WP:QPQ reads "
::: @Aesurias: I'm not entirely sure how the automatic system flagged it as 0 (bugs?). I manually checked with the tool, and these were the articles nominated by you for DYK: Colorado Amendment 69 (submitted on 17 January), Mingering Mike (submitted on 10 March), Cool Moose Party (submitted on 1 June), and Rats (advertisement) (submitted on 25 June) and Canturi (submitted on 23 July). I would recommend to do a QPQ as this is your 5th DYK article. However, I'm flagging this for a fresh opinion from more experienced users to confirm whether QPQ is indeed unnecessary, since the system originally flagged it as 0.
