Hi there Wiki!
There is a problem with the miss information provided in the article. The author(s) are mistaken that the Dead Sea is bordered by something called "Palestine". because it doesn't seem that such country exists or has ever existed. Israel however, has been a country for thousands of years, inhabited particularly by Israeli. Israel has not occupied no "West Bank", as even that was never a country!
Under the Israel's occupation by the Romans, in ancient times, the land bordering the Dead Sea, all around, was named - by the Romans - PalestinA. PalestinA means ' the occupation ", it is not a Hebrew word, and the land was never named such by Hebrews or Israeli, or anyone else.
The Romans are long extinct now, and the state of Israel borders the Dead Sea.
Yes, Israel was declared a state, and Wiki authors as well as Wiki, who provided a platform for racist expression of miss information, Do Have To Recognise It. Wiki may wish to correct the record, now that you have our attention, because this is equally an expression Libel, and Slander, against Israel and it's people.
I have no reason to believe your author(s) may have any supporting documents to support the FALSE CLAIMS, which have been securely locked to prevent correction, by Wiki! Thus Wiki is equally liable for the miss information, Libel, and Slander. Very shameful! 2607:FEA8:3D80:36E:219C:556C:50E5:DEAA (talk) 21:45, 22 August 2025 (UTC)

In the first sentence of the subdivison "Geography", remove the word "is" before the word bordered as to fit the rules of the English language and that it makes sense Folkekirken256 (talk) 13:21, 6 October 2025 (UTC)

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 30 October 2025 - Latin name
The "Names" section makes an unsourced mention of the origin of the name Asphaltites in Greek and Latin. A source for the Latin name Lacus Asphaltites occurs in Bartlett, John R.
