Manner of death
As best I can tell, neither of the citations actually establish whether James Valentine utilised VAD. As such, I'm going to be bold and remove that statement. If additional credible sources do indeed establish this, add it back in. Robert Merkel (talk) 04:32, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved. There is a unanimous consensus that "(journalist)" is an inaccurate disambiguator for the Australian subject. A strong consensus has been formed around "(broadcaster)" as the most precise and recognizable descriptor for his primary career.
The Australian subject is also a notable musician. Per Wikipedia's naming conventions for musicians we disambiguate by primary instrument before nationality. – Judging by this article's contents, this James Valentine seems more prominent as a musician and a broadcaster, for this reason I propose and support the titles "James Valentine (broadcaster)" and "James Valentine (radio host)" considering that these are two names for his most recent occupation, this all means that the current title is not WP:PRECISE enough, WP:CRITERIA states that recognisability is also important and that is not met with this title. Using the disambiguation "journalist" is confusing because this James Valentine was not primarily known as a journalist or high-profile news correspondent. - Do you think I should rewrite the opening statement so this doesn't result in a no consensus closure? I can imagine that a no consensus closure could result from people agreeing that the current title is not suitable but no clear statements clearly in favour of one title or another. - I was an early listener to James on his Afternoons program. He and the other presenters all used the term "broadcaster" to describe those like them. Part of what he did was journalism, mostly is was radio entertainment in that portion of the day. This part pf his career also dominated his time as a professional musician. The Australian musician is probably better and more known as a broadcaster on television and radio, whilst the American musician is probably most notable as a musician and also is better to be kept at its current title location. - Support move to James Valentine (Australian musician), given Valentine was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2010, as a member of the Models I would have to say that his musical accomplishments would outweigh his later broadcasting career and that is what he will probably be most remembered for.
