Korea Train Express → KTX – I think this article can be renamed to KTX because its more commonly known as KTX and I never had heard of Korea Train Express before visiting this article. Other high speed rail articles, like TGV and ICE, uses intials too. My proposal: Korea Train eXpress, more commonly known as KTX... What you guys think? - Oppose A quick search suggests that this might not be the primary topic. The HSR is more familiar to me and might be more commonly known by its acronym, but there is another KTX that does not have its own Wikipedia article but appears to have some notability. - Korea Train Express → KTX
- Super Rapid Train → SRT (Korea)
– Seldomly would anyone in the world call these two services by their full name. Thus the article titles being KTX and SRT instead would be more appropriate, in my opinion.
In previous discussion, there are people who said "There is another KTX that does not have its own article but appears notable", which I am not able to locate from internet search, but even if that is the case those can be resolved using disambiguation. C933103 (talk) 02:50, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support KTX per WP:COMMONNAME, I don't think I've ever actually heard "Korea Train Express": . I will note that some other transit systems are named by their lesser known full names (Bay Area Rapid Transit and Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore)) but others are acronym'ed so I think it's fine (BTS Skytrain, MTR). Also KTX being a redirect to Korea Train Express discounts that it is not the primary topic. Weak support SRT, it is more of a tossup to me as it seems articles refer to it by its full name before referring to it by the acronym , which tells me it isn't as common of a common name but I don't think it's uncommon either. orangesclub 🍊 12:56, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose SRT per WP:NATURALDIS/WP:Article titles#Avoid ambiguous abbreviations. Fine with KTX. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:41, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support KTX per WP:COMMONNAME, Oppose SRT due to ambiguous abbreviation. grapesurgeon (seefooddiet) (talk) 03:36, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support KTX per WP:COMMONNAME, oppose SRT (Korea) per WP:NATDIS. Arnav Bhate (talk • contribs) 17:59, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support KTX per WP:COMMONNAME, oppose SRT per natural which is why Réseau express métropolitain isn't titled REM (Montreal). SRT (Korea) could also refer to a company (or anything else) with that name in Korea. JuniperChill (talk) 11:36, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
