Is the Abbreviation and exact location really important to be on this list? are the Abbreviations even official? -155.69.160.33 (talk) 11:27, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
- I have the same concern. I doubt if subdivisions for census or planning purposes (which is listed on both Chinese and English versions of this list) are useful to list for even local Singaporeans. --Spring Roll Conan ( Talk · Contributions ) 08:30, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
Break into subdivisions?
Following List of Shanghai Metro stations, should we separate the list according to the lines? And about Hume, not yet please. And the abbreviations are necessary; used by SMRT for train disruptions or other announcements.--ZKang123 (talk) 14:09, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- I do agree with ZKang123's idea to separate the list according to the lines as it makes it easily to read and view. Sorry for being late on this topics. Flipchip73 (talk) 05:56, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
- Although the Shanghai metro one is quite overwhelming but since we only have a fraction of the lines i would say it is fine either way for now. 1.02 editor (T/C) 11:18, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
Map
@NOZOMI dreams: Do note that the western section of the Cross Island Line is depicted in the Land Transport Masterplan 2040, and the "Pink Line" has been reported in local Straits Times articles. The map maker also made it explicitly clear in the map that the line is under studies. So there's nothing misleading about the map, which has been carefully researched. Name(s) during planning stages
that column used to be only used for the working names. but now, we have the names from the public poll added in for circle line onwards. should those name even be there? they were never considered working names. the column is renamed to Name(s) during planning stages, is that the reason why those are included? -119.74.220.3 (talk) 13:15, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Parity issue/clarifications
Hi, any reasons why the future column has been removed? I was trying to match it up with LRT stations page, which currently has one as such.
So perhaps I think the solution is to have the other LRT page follow this format.
About the abbreviations, I can definitely confirm that tapping out on NEL side of DBG and OTP shows DBN and OTN respectively. Not sure if it was changed already, but that's as far as I can remember. OfficialCQJoker (talk) 04:11, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
Notice of impending WP:TNT edit
Hello,
This is a heads-up to indicate that I will WP:TNT this page and replace it with a rewritten version from my sandbox. The problem with this page is that it's largely inaccessible and has a bunch of uncited/OR stuff. I'm still polishing some details with the lead and history section, but it's nearly, if not completely, ready, so the TNT will most likely occur sometime between 5pm Friday to 10:30pm Sunday Singapore Time (6–8 February, approximately 9am Friday to 2:30pm Sunday UTC time). A comment will be posted on here to indicate that the TNT will start. When I'm copying the contents of my sandbox to this page, I will use the {{under construction}} template to indicate that the migration is ongoing. During that time, please try to avoid making any major edits to this page. Minor edits like grammar changes are fine, but please don't do any drastic stuff. Given the size of the sandbox, it will take some time to copy and paste the contents. The operational stations will most likely be copied first, followed by whatever I am thinking off during the TNT. Once I am done with this revision, I will post a comment on here stating that it is over. In preemption for questions, I have prepared a questions document. If you have any further questions or clarifications, please ping me below, and I will answer. Thanks! Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 12:25, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Apologies for the late notice, but I will have to postpone the TNT to sometime within the near future. There's an ongoing issue on whether Changi Terminal 5 station is considered under construction or under planning (discussion here). Given that I have my preliminary examinations soon, I think this project may have to be on hold until early March if the discussion does not result in a consensus by the end of next week. Apologies once again. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 05:01, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi there! Are you still going through with your rewritten version? Aleain (talk) 22:57, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Aleain: Yes. I couldn't conduct the TNT because I had my prelims within the last two weeks (should've indicated here, apologies), but they're done, so I can go back to my normal editing schedule. The Changi Terminal 5 station status thing still needs to be resolved, but I'm planning to raise it on WP:3O. I'll start the TNT but exclude Changi Airport Terminal 5 for the time being until it's resolved.Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 13:01, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- Update: most of the content have been copied. The sources are taking a lot longer than I thought because some of the citations use archive.today for the archived links, which were recently deprecated. I am in the process of replacing them, but this will take a bit of time. Apologies for the inconvenience. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 13:51, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- Update: the TNT is complete! Feel free to edit the page. The Changi T5 thing needs to be resolved, so I'm gonna have to pay 3O a visit soon. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 14:39, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Changi Terminal 5 station is under construction or in planning?
This is a continuation of User talk:Icepinner/sandbox/2#T5 station but I'm moving this to the mainpage now that the TNT has been finished. Anyways, George13lol2, ZKang123, and I were discussing on whether Changi Terminal 5 MRT station should be in the "under construction" or "planning" section. George argues that the tunnels to the station are significant enough such that the station would be "under construction", whilst ZKang says that the tunnels alone are not significant enough for a station to be "under construction" and that it is unknown if the station box is under construction. I have raised this on WP:3O for further discussion and to generate consensus (WT:SG would not be the appropriate place, in my opinion). Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 15:41, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- For technical clarification as a part of the 3O process, George in an edit summary said that the station was considered to be "under construction" as the tunnels were undergoing construction per this source. A "station box" is the main structure of an underground metro station building, which includes the platforms and concourse, but not other parts like the entrances. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 15:48, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'm from WP:3O. It seems that three editors are involved here? From WP:3O, "If no agreement can be reached on the talk page and only two editors are involved..." (emphasise isn't mine btw). Usually someone would have declined it by now and WP:DR would be the recommended alternative. Unless one of you three has minimal participation (some of us can be flexible) though this doesn't seem to be the case. I would have removed the listing but since it's been quite some time posted there, I thought I'll clarify first. Ugog Nizdast (talk) 17:20, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, Ugog Nizdast. It seems you are correct; I did not realise that I had inadvertently involved myself into this debate such that I would not have "minimal participation". Regardless, I have consulted other users off-Wiki, and they sided with ZKang's view. With that, I will have to side with ZKang; the tunnels leading to a station being constructed do not indicate that the station itself is under construction, so Changi Terminal 5 station should be under the "planning" section. Founders' Memorial station
Hi @Icepinner:, great work on reworking this article! One minor question: wouldn't Founders' Memorial station fall under the "non-operational" section instead of "under construction", considering that the station is already physically complete? I initially intended to make an edit to change this, but I wanted to clarify with you first. Aleain (talk) 11:30, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Aleain: Based on current sources, I can't find anything suggesting that Founders' Memorial station is physically complete. If you don't have a source, then I don't think we can add it per WP:TRUTH (being fair, the station did appear to be complete the last time I saw it). Peer review
List of Singapore MRT stations
| This peer review discussion is closed. |
I've listed this article for peer review because... I want to nominate this list for FLC, and it is extremely massive, so any extra eyes are appreciated. In particular, I was wondering whether if I should include sections for station facilities (civil defence shelters and whatnot) and art. I think it would be a good use of WP:SUMMARY, but may detract from the main subject. As a courtesy, please read User:Icepinner/Annotated guide to List of Singapore MRT stations before asking questions here, as it contains questions that are easily answerable.

Hey Icepinner, here are some comments from me. I also did some copyedits myself so please feel free to review those as well. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- the country's principal mode of transport -> I think this statement might need a citation. Searching this up online only redirects me to Wikipedia articles stating the same thing unreferenced, as far as I can tell. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Added a source. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 16:11, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- all of which are wheelchair accessible -> While there is nothing inherently wrong with mentioning this, I wonder if it's relevant for the lede? – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I did this for List of Singapore LRT stations and it was okay, so I'll keep it.
- there are 147 stations in operation -> Is this number accurate? I counted the number of in operation MRT stations listed in this article twice, and got 143–144. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- To be honest, I got the number based on the number of row scopes and I think I miscounted. I'll have to recount it... Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done Ok, I recounted it using the MRT map and I think there's 143 stations in total. I have updated the article accordingly. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 04:51, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- Should have consistency on whether "station" is included in the bluelinks. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
In progress. Will take sometime.Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 16:11, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Riviera station on the CRL -> CRL isn't mentioned before this point. Perhaps the JRL should have a brief mention in the lede? – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done I introduced it in the first paragraph. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done Yes it should per MOS:LCITEMS. Someone else capitalised it, but I've changed it. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I took a quick look at the sources and found some small nitpicks.
- Alkhatib, Shaffiq Idris -> Should be cited as Shaffiq, not Alkhatib, as this is a Malay name. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Guang-Xi, Justin Ong -> Should be cited as Ong since Guang-Xi is his Chinese name: Ong, Justin Guang-Xi. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I thought Guang-Xi was a Double-barrelled name but thinking about it, Ong seems to be the surname. Anyways,

- As of this revision, [67] writes "HarbourFront" as "Harbour Front". – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Done. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

- Could use Template:Refbegin + refend. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done. I didn't even know that template existed! Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Regarding your above question, I think a simple short mention in the lede works, but not an entire section. In-depth analysis of the facilities and art of the stations isn't particularly relevant on this article. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 06:24, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'll add it later. Thanks for the review, Actuall7! Really appreciate it. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Ok Actuall7, I have addressed all points. Regarding facilities, I don't think there are any sources that say that all stations have platform screen doors, or whether they are elevated/subsurface/underground. I modified the list to include which stations are civil defence shelters bc that's kind of important imo... maybe I can talk some more about station accessiblity. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 04:54, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
YuniToumei
Hi! :) Congrats on the successful TNT! Here's some smaller comments from my side:
- There are four non-operational stations planned for operations in the future, which are Bukit Brown on the CCL, and Marina South, Mount Pleasant, and Tagore on the TEL. What is the function of the first "and" before Marina South? YuniToumei (talk) 15:07, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- The first "and" is used to establish two groups of shell stations, which are non-TEL (Bukit Brown) and TEL (Marina South, Mount Pleasant, and Tagore as one group). I'll probably rephrase the first "and" to "as well as" if you feel that it's appropriate. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 16:19, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Ahh, that makes a lot of sense actually. I think I stumbled as a non-SG-expert because I didn't know by heart which station belongs to which line, so the grouping wasn't evident to me. Your rewording suggestion sounds good! I think it could help make the grouping more clear. YuniToumei (talk) 21:57, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

- Is it intentional that the stations in the image gallery captions in the Non-operational section are not wikilinked, in contrast to the other section's galleries? YuniToumei (talk) 15:07, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
Done I've linked them. Good catch! Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 16:19, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Ok, I think the article is ready for FLC. Shall close this peer review. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 16:33, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
Proposed stations at PLAB
I came across this image from URA's MP2025 website showing 2 proposed stations at PLAB, one on the CRL and another on a potential future line/extension. I'm wondering if this can be included in a brief section. George13lol2 (talk) 07:26, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I don't know, but my guess is maybe not. We don't know if the government will proceed with the proposed stations, so it seems a bit WP:SPECULATION to me; others' mileage may vary. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 17:00, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
