Use of aircraft wreckage

Hello, I suggest that the image of the landing gate of the MH370 plane, uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, be added to the article. As the only confirmed piece of MH370 found in its entirety and in a recognizable form, this image can help readers understand the visual and documentary evidence, especially in the section related to the discovery of wreckage off the coast of East Africa. If friends have any comments, I would be happy to hear them. Regards. Yourselves with the runway (talk) 17:25, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

@Yourselves with the runway You must get consensus before such a radical edit. Please hold your edit till other editors have agreed. I for one consider that the addition of that image in that position is inappropriate. JMC (talk) 22:37, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

Request

Hello everyone,

I'd like to suggest a small but important update to the lead summary of the article. Currently, it emphasizes the disappearance of the aircraft, but I'd like to add a note reflecting that the physical debris found and satellite data suggest the aircraft may have been deliberately crashed.

Proposed line: "disappeared; the fragments that were found suggest it was deliberately crashed."

This change aims to reflect the balance of expert analysis without being speculative. If there are no objections, I’d like to make this edit soon.

Thanks! Mwl2014 (talk) 17:09, 6 August 2025 (UTC)

"Inconclusive" already reflects a balance without giving weight to "deliberately crashed" as a cause. Celjski Grad (talk) 07:37, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

I appreciate that the term "inconclusive" is intended to convey the current uncertainty surrounding the cause of the disappearance. However, I respectfully suggest that including the fact that recovered fragments and satellite data indicate the possibility of a deliberate crash would provide a more comprehensive and balanced representation of the expert analyses and official findings to date.

My intention is not to present this as a confirmed fact but to acknowledge the significant evidence and prevailing theories supported by available data. I remain open to any recommendations on phrasing that might better capture this nuance without implying definitive conclusions. Mwl2014 (talk) 08:47, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

I’m not going to debate with ChatGPT. Either formulate your own argument in your own words or move on. Celjski Grad (talk) 10:47, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

can we add the registration number to the aircraft caption?

Last time someone ask this on the talk page but there were not much discussion. I want to add the registration number in the caption. It currently said . Zaptain United (talk) 20:24, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

Background

I would like to suggest a review of the background section of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 article to ensure it maintains appropriate balance and clarity. Because this article covers a tragic and widely scrutinized event, maintaining clarity and strong sourcing in the Background section will help preserve encyclopedia standards and readers' trust. Information Flight MH370

According to my research, this flight Amaze 370 crashed towards the point of origin. Their router was down, but the location could also be in the opposite direction. ~2026-12131-24 (talk) 19:59, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
