"Gaming Consumer Rights" and "controversies"

Not proposing we add this - quite the opposite, SR is a marginal source and these complaints are frivolous- it should not be in the article. Just trying to get ahead of this, as there's already been editors bringing adding similar content, with even worse sourcing. Sergecross73 msg me 14:29, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- We could still mention the criticisms for the Game Key Cards, the pricing, and Welcome Tour not being free with reliable sources? 2600:4041:528B:ED00:E89A:E914:4505:7BF6 (talk) 21:22, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- All three of these are mentioned in the article already. The "Critical response" section mentions both the Game Key cards and Welcome Tour's price, and there's an entire section on "Release and pricing". ThomasO1989 (talk) 22:34, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- We do mention all of those things in the article already. Sergecross73 msg me 00:02, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- Everything is "non consumer friendly". Game KeyCards are no different than those Xbox releases that have a keycode on a BluRay. Maddox121 ForgotHisPassword (talk) 00:35, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know if it's appropriate to make a page called "Nintendo Switch 2 pricing controversy" yet. 2600:4041:528B:ED00:3108:AADE:2B4A:E04C (talk) 23:02, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- Absolutely not. There is no controversy. People complaining online that a recreational tech device is too expensive in their opinion, is absolutely not a "controversy" or deserving of a stand alone article. Sergecross73 msg me 23:06, 3 November 2025 (UTC)

- Shouldn't a section about this be named "Criticism" rather than "Controversy"? Controversy (to me, atleast) implies the fault of the creator somehow. EnvironmentalDoor (talk) 16:21, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
- Neither is necessary. We've got a reception section. Sergecross73 msg me 16:38, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
A pic about Switch 2's Nvidia SoC
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Nintendo_Switch_2_NVIDIA_SoC_GMLX30-A1.jpg
I've uploaded a pic about Switch 2's Nvidia SoC, is it suitable to put it in the Hardware section? I would be happy if someone put it in because I don't have the permission to edit.
(Tried my best to take it using my phone, however mobile phones can't compare to cameras at taking pics) Bechology (talk) 00:54, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
Connectivity
Question I can’t seem to easily find an answer for regarding the infobox template. Why does the information in the infobox mix protocols and connector types? Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth (which version?) are standards, while USB-C denotes a connector type. Is it a USB 3.2 port? The bottom port allows for video out, the top port does not. Bloomberg Report
The bloomberg report from last month was a speculative article and no reduction in production was ever announced by Nintendo and therefore should not be included on this article in my opinion ~2026-12993-57 (talk) 16:28, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
- Bloomberg is reliable but also since it's not directly says by Nintendo, it us appropriately attributed to Bloomberg. If it turns out true and verified by Nintendo ww can update. But if Nintendo denies it then we might consider removal. Masem (t) 16:39, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I revised the addition to add context that it was from a Bloomberg report, not Nintendo, as the original editor to add it didn't give proper attribution to the information. I'm open to revising further, but I don't believe it should be cut entirely. Bloomberg is a reliable source and the story was heavily discussed in the industry.
