Anti-Semitism
Added a section entitled anti-Semitism due to multiple news reports that OAN booker and writer Vish Burra was fired from a OAN show due to his anti-Semitic posts on social media. This article (OAN) deals with a controversial topic, and posts on anti-Semitism almost always bring controversy. The OAN article is in semi-protected status, but I have a many-decade history of editing articles on Wikipedia, with more than 100 edits, and I have no conflicts of interest in this space.
Also, my edit is factual, and I included three references to support it. I therefore published the new section, but I am adding it to the Talk Page so that other editors may review my work and critique it if appropriate.
Anti-Semitism
In November 2025, OAN employee Vish Burra, a booker and scriptwriter for The Matt Gaetz Show, was fired from his job after sharing a brazenly anti-Semitic video on X, formerly Twitter. The AI-generated cartoon of Burra showed him "barging into a 'Scheming Room' – that was emblazoned with the Star of David – and threatening a group of Jews that were depicted as cockroaches."[1] [2] [3] BrooklynBen (talk) 11:23, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- I propose replacing with something shorter and a different heading: "Firing of Vish Burra" "In November 2025, OAN fired Vish Burra, a booker and scriptwriter for OAN's The Matt Gaetz Show, who had shared anti-Semitic content on X." This is an article about OAN. OAN was acting as the opposite of anti-Semitic by firing Vish Burra. Details about the post are unnecessary since they were not on OAN. - Ditto, if anything they acted against anti-semitism here. Slatersteven (talk) 14:14, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing. I think BrooklynBen and others should have a while to suggest something else, otherwise I'll make the change in a week. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 21:56, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- A week has passed. I made the change. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 15:06, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
