Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, paul2520 💬 17:57, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Azerbaijan Democratic Republic into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s).

When copying within Wikipedia, at a minimum, give attribution in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination.

Please add attribution if no one has done so yet. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Wham2001 (talk) 10:23, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Good day, I'm new to Wikipedia and thank you for the explanation. But not all my contributions are copy-pasted; some are my own. I'm just filling in the gaps I see in the digging with sources accepted by Wikipedia itself. Aourendil1 (talk) 10:40, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
Right, and that's very useful! My advice would be to do any coping from other articles in separate edits, so you can add the attribution and it's clear which content you are attributing, though I don't think that's required. And remember also that anything you take from external sources needs to be summarized in your own words. Thanks for your work to improve the encyclopedia, and happy editing! Information icon Please refrain from making edits generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology) to Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Khwarazmian Empire. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 13:19, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Good day. I didn't use artificial intelligence; I wrote a short text using information from sources. It was about the ideology of the Khwarazmian and Sassanid dynasties. If you'd like, I can share the sources with you. Aourendil1 (talk) 13:49, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
I can see the sources you used here. You will note the url for one ends with ?utm_source=chatgpt.com, meaning that it was accessed through ChatGPT. Please do not lie unnecessarily. You may also wish to consult WP:LEAD to get an idea of what information should be in the second paragraph of the article. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 14:08, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hi, how are you? I don't recall making any changes or additions to an article about Azerbaijan or Armenia, are you sure about that? Aourendil1 (talk) 17:03, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
Again, please remember to adhere to WP:GSAA . HistoryofIran (talk) 20:48, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
Hi, what exactly did you do wrong? Aourendil1 (talk) 21:02, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
The link you provided is about the Armenian-Azerbaijani issue, but I didn't write anything about the Armenian or Azerbaijani conflict. Aourendil1 (talk) 21:03, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
It is not only related to the conflicts. HistoryofIran (talk) 21:48, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
