I understand I was blocked for disruptive editing connected to the AfD/article dispute. I accept that I responded too much, repeated my position, and escalated the dispute instead of stepping back. I also understand that my ANI filing and related comments made the situation worse. I used an example from a previous discussion because I wanted to follow a format. This is my first time submitting to this page. The facts, and concerns were mine, but I am new to this process and thought I was following the correct process. But again, I didn't use AI, I simply did copy and paste for structure. Going forward, I will not continue arguing the same points, will not post further ANI/user-talk complaints about this while the AfD is ongoing, and will not keep responding to every criticism. I will keep any future comments short, specific, article-focused, and policy-based. If I become frustrated, I will step away instead of continuing to reply. I am requesting unblock because I am trying to work within the system the way I understand it. Preventing from addressing my concerns and not addressing the heart of the issue has lead to this and why I asked for outside input instead of posting again in the same chat as befoee Bes2224 (talk) 12:27, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

I'm asking for another review of my indefinite block.

I understand that my behavior during the ANI was seen as disruptive. I kept responding and got too argumentative.

I do want to be accurate about the LLM issue, at least from my perspective. I was not using an LLM to write Wikipedia articles for me. I was using it for things like copyediting and help with wikicode.

Where I messed up was twofold: First, I thought things like help with sentence structure, active/passive voice, and thesaurus use were basic copyediting. After reading the feedback from other users, I came to understand why some of what I considered copyediting could go beyond that. Second, I used it to help with wikicode and did not realize that the output had changed a reference tag into something that was bad wikicode. I understand why that caused a problem. I did not ask ChatGPT to write the article, but I understand that I was still responsible for checking everything before saving it.

I also kept arguing about whether LLMs can have legitimate uses because I thought I was explaining what I had actually done and trying to get the discussion focused back on the article. At some point I should have realized that continuing to argue about it was making the situation worse and just stopped

If unblocked, I will not use an LLM to generate or rewrite Wikipedia content, and I will not use one for wikicode. I found out last week there is now wikicode assistance available through Wikipedia itself, which I did not know about before. If I get involved in another disagreement, I will not keep responding/arguing after the discussion has stopped being productive.

I do have one procedural matter that ArbCom told me to raise: - I was first blocked for 31 hours by Morwen. Later that day, The Bushranger imposed a separate indefinite block based on my continued conduct. - The ANI discussion was later closed by Beta Beta Beta as a non-admin closure. - When I appealed the indefinite restriction at AN, the appeal was posted as a "CBAN appeal." I withdrew that appeal before there was a final decision due to procedural concerns. - I emailed ArbCom to ask whether I had actually been community banned or was simply indefinitely blocked. They replied:

• "Whether you are community banned is a matter for the community to resolve; the Committee does not issue guidance on community processes. If you appeal your block in the future, you should note the previous discussion and your question in the unblock request so that the reviewing administrator can make a determination."

So, I'm asking the reviewing admin to make that determination as part of this request. If this is an admin imposed indefinite block, I'd asking that it be reviewed normally and the admin determine if the block is still necessary. If it is considered a community banned, I'd like to know what discussion or closure event established this status and which appeal process I should use.

This unblock request appears to have been written by a chatbot using a large language model. The purpose of unblock requests is to determine whether you, the human operating this account, understand why you were blocked – not to test a chatbot's ability to tell us what we want to hear. A message written (or rewritten) by a chatbot can also cause you to sound like you're making empty promises. It is better to write the unblock request yourself.
