Imo this is fine as it's a clear tongue-in-cheek joke, per their userpage. Sarsenethe/they•(talk) 04:07, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

I had difficulties too

Don't worry about accidentally breaking the April Fool's Day afd for a bit. I also had a hard time figuring out what to do. I ended up looking at the contributions of other editors and copying them. If you want to list Rotation then you first create Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rotation (2nd nomination) with the text {{subst:April Fools AfD | pg = Rotation | text = '''<Reason for deletion>''' }} ~~~~

Then you go to Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/April_Fools'_Day_2026#April_Fools'_Day_Nominations and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rotation (2nd nomination)}} at the top. ເສລີພາບ (talk) 21:16, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Warning users

Hello @EditWarCriminal. Please note that when reverting someone's edits, you must also notify the user about this by placing an appropriate warning on their talk page. Instead of doing all of this manually, you should generally use scripts like Ultraviolet or Twinkle that make it easy for you. UltraViolet is a bit nicer IMO, but it only works on the desktop version of Wikipedia, while for Twinkle there's Twinkle Mobile (you can have both of them installed, which is what I do). They also provide other convenience features like reporting a user to WP:AIV if they had been warned too many times, and Twinkle has other unrelated features such as easily nominating articles for deletion. There's generally no reason to do anti-vandalism without them. 🍅 fx (talk) 04:38, 3 April 2026 (UTC)

thanks! I'll use ultraviolet as soon as I become autoconfirmed since I can't use it right now it seems EditWarCriminal (talk) 17:54, 3 April 2026 (UTC)

Comments when reverting

Hey friend! When reverting this edit you perceived it to be vandalism. I just want to note that sometimes noobs may not realize they're messing up an article (e.g., test edits), especially for ones not expecting that their test edits to actually go public immediately; these edits are best described as test edits. Because, like, you know, the word vandalism has some negative connotations and implies intentionality, and people on the receiving ends may feel discouraged or bited for their noobness.

You may read more on noobs unintentionally making mistakes here -> WP:NOTVAND.
