Your submission at Articles for creation: Benny Horowitz (January 7)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Pro-anti-air were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.

This article is way too short, with very little meaningful prose. None of the references provide any WP:SIGCOV and they are also not formatted correctly. See WP:REFB

As previously advised, this is essentially a shopping list rather than an encyclopedia entry. See WP:NOT and also WP:BLP for guidance on inline citations, which are required for people still alive.

The comment the reviewer left was:
Notability has not sufficiently been established here; can you provide any other reliable, in-depth, secondary sources about the subject? Spotify, Genius and his podcasts don't help towards notability.

All of the sources except the CRC Press article are unusable for notability as they are either interviews, user-generated sources, or primary.

Nighfidelity (talk) 22:01, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
What sources would you deem usable for this person besides interviews? Benny is a part of the Gaslight Anthem, and we are looking to make him a Wikipedia page to go on The Gaslight Anthem's Band Members section like Brian Fallon and Alex Rosamilia. His page and sources aren't that different from Alex's (and Alex has only three sources, one of which is a discography only for The Gaslight Anthem). Would adding an article about Benny (without interviewing him in the article) qualify for notoriety? Knowyourenemy40 (talk) 22:32, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
Independent news coverage and mentions in published literature. As for Alex Rosamilia, although the sources there are iffy, there is probably more independent coverage of him as he founded the band. Who is "we" exactly. If you have a conflict of interest to Horowitz or are being paid to create the article, please disclose this. Nighfidelity (talk) 12:16, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
My friends and I are huge fans of The Gaslight Anthem (specifically Benny), and we noticed Benny doesn't have a page like Brian and Alex. There are no conflicts of interest, and none of us are being paid to create a Wiki page for him.
As far as news coverage and published literature, it looks like the overwhelming majority of mentions about Benny are from interviews with him or podcast episodes featuring him. While interviews are considered primary sources, there is an overwhelming number of interviews from Benny from multiple people/stations/outlets. Would the amount of interviews featuring Benny not be enough to establish credibility and notoriety?
There is also coverage on him as a drummer from Pearl and Sabian. Why do the Pearl Drums and Sabian pages about him not count as published literature? They're essentially musician bios - if he's notable enough for Pearl Drums and Sabian with no sources listed, why isn't he notable enough for his own Wiki page?
Benny is also a founding member of The Gaslight Anthem - he was actually in the band with Brian when it was called This Charming Man a year before Alex was brought on (Benny joined This Charming Man in 2005 while Alex didn't join until 2006). Benny was already a core member before This Charming Man became the Gaslight Anthem, and this is information that's been taken directly from Brian's Wikipedia page. Benny's sources are also more plentiful than Alex's, and one of Alex's sources aren't even available anymore.

Brian Fallon#This Charming Man (2004–2005)
Would either of these sources about the background of The Gaslight Anthem be enough to be considered a secondary source for Benny's notoriety? Knowyourenemy40 (talk) 18:42, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Not really. One of them is a forum, which is user-generated content, while the others mainly cover the band. Nighfidelity (talk) 20:45, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
And what to my point of Benny being a founding member in the band before Alex as explicitly stated in Brian's page? Furthermore, what about the Pearl Drums and Sabian pages on Benny?
As a devoted fan of Benny and The Gaslight Anthem, I'm trying to get this page up, and there really are no additional sources on Benny outside of interviews - and there's pages of interviews. How else would I be able to go about creating a Wiki page for Benny? I'm open to constructive feedback, but you're not really giving me anything to go off here. Your submission at Articles for creation: Benny Horowitz (April 8)

Draft rejected
Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted.

Reason for rejection
The reviewer, Nil NZ, left the following feedback:
The only ref added after the previous decline was to a user-generated online forum. I think it's time to move on from this draft – if, in the future there is significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources, then the subject can be explored further, but for now it appears we are at the end of the road.
