First, why did you revert my edits here and here? Second, you do realise that you should have explained your reasons in the edit summary? It is highly impolite and bad practice not to explain reverts of good-faith edits.

• WP:EDITCON: 'Explanations are especially important when reverting another editor's good-faith work.'
• WP:REVEXP: 'Edit summaries, always a good practice, are particularly important when reverting. Provide a valid and informative explanation including, if possible, a link to the Wikipedia principle you believe justifies the reversion. ... A reversion is a complete rejection of the work of another editor and if the reversion is not adequately supported then the reverted editor may find it difficult to assume good faith. This is one of the most common causes of an edit war.'
• Help:Edit summary: 'It is a good practice to provide a meaningful summary for every edit, especially when reverting (undoing) the actions of other editors or deleting existing text; otherwise, people may question your motives for the edit.'

@Imcdc After a quick review, I have a few comments. The lead should be expanded, as it is currently too short. Some parts of the article read like a prose list and could be revised to better comply with WP:PROSELIST. The Background section could briefly introduce the Ming dynasty and provide some context for the Tumu Crisis, as both are important for understanding the events described in the article. I see that you undid my small edit to Jiajing Emperor. I can understand not wanting a redlink in the article, but I cannot understand how you would expect a normal reader to automatically known what "surite" is, or that it contains lead, without any explanation, when the mineral doesn't even have a Wikipedia article. I looked at the article on Zhang Cong and it looks fine on sourcing and comprehension. I might make some copy-edits later to the Zhang article, but on the whole there doesn't seem to be a problem. Now in the Tianwan review, I neglected to mention this, but could you look at Rowe (2007), p. 48 and add Chinese characters for the following rebels: Cai Wujiu, Zhao Chousi, Hu Run'er, Zhou Ziwang? There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others.
