My edits: Fender Stratocaster

Would you do me the honour of reviewing my edits to Fender Stratocaster, with particular attention to the most recent 17 edits by me?

For transparency, I am also author no. 6 by "authorship" of the article, 2A02:8071:184:4E80:A090:7C24:69DD:EFE6, while you of course are no. 1 - I would really like this article to continue to advance in quality. I believe you are the only one both familiar with the subject and still active who can help.

To be clear, if I have gone wrong somewhere in those 17 edits, I need to be told very specifically what the problem is, down to the individual statement, otherwise I cannot fix it. Thank you very, very much if you can help.

Route diagram template request #2?

Hi! Sorry to bother you again. I really loved how the SkyTrain template you made last time came out! Hopefully this should be the last time I bother you with a request (it's entirely up to you if you choose to follow through or not), but I've just finished up with sprucing up the route diagram templates and creating interactive maps for the O-Train LRT network in Ottawa. The last thing it really needs now is, like SkyTrain, a route diagram template for the entire system, including extensions. I believe this should be a bit easier than the SkyTrain one since the lines have much simpler routings relative to each other (although it's still out of my skill level.) Thank you!

P.S. If it interests you, I do have a short list on my sandbox page of whatever other remaining rail transit systems in North America that lack unified route diagram templates. I've marked four I feel are doable, which consist of three heritage streetcar systems and the Exo commuter rail system in Montreal. The latter may be harder due to the radial layout of the system, but I'd imagine that the RDT for GO Transit might be a helpful guide on that one if you do choose to make it. Hopefully this doesn't come across as me asking you to do these too, moreso just a suggestion if you felt like it. Thanks again! OrdinaryScarlett (talk) 11:03, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

Think I might be able to help lower your to-do list by one...

Hey @Mjdestroyerofworlds!

Came across a small edit you made at Cheney, Washington on my watchlist and saw that you're digging into depot/train station articles that should have pages but don't. I noticed at User:Mjdestroyerofworlds/Historically significant rail stations missing articles a redlink for the Burlington Northern Depot in Chehalis...and I'm working on that one! Yay!

See here - User:OlympiaBuebird/Lewis County Historical Society and Museum

If you wish to collaborate at all, feel free to get back to me, but either way, it's one less article you have to worry about! If my current pace continues, the BND Chehalis page should be fully complete and ready to go in three to four weeks. If you wouldn't mind, I'll pick your brain after I move it to mainspace, knowing your experience will certainly improve it.

In the meantime, keep at it; it's an awesome undertaking and you should be thanked in abundance.

OlympiaBuebird (talk) 16:20, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

@OlympiaBuebird: Nice! Keep up the good work yourself - that's a nice in-depth page you have worked up there. I'll be happy to smear it up a bit when it gets to the mainspace. -MJ (talk) 17:23, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
Hey, thanks!
I cracked up pretty good over the "smear" line...if you're a worse writer than me, then this article will never see the light of day! I'll keep you in the know...happy editing!
OlympiaBuebird (talk) 19:44, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
Hey, MJ!
All done - Burlington Northern Depot (Chehalis, Washington)...
Hope I alleviated your to-do list a least a bit. Keep up the awesome work; I'm not sure how you do it!
OlympiaBuebird (talk) 20:53, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
@OlympiaBuebird: helluva job there! I'll take a closer look at it next week when i have some time, but a really quick skim makes me think there's not much for me to do! -MJ (talk) 03:57, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

Logansport

Thanks for creating the article on Richmond C&O. Do you have any information on the Amtrak station at Logansport Indiana? Cards84664 19:45, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

@Cards84664: Not specifically. I usually scour the Internet Archive Library, Newspapers.com, and sometimes Google Books for sources, if that helps. Is there anything you'd like to know in particular that I might help with? -MJ (talk) 04:01, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

Cleveland Streetcars

By coincidence, yesterday I found a timeline record of Cleveland's streetcar routes in the Cleveland Public Library, I will be deciphering it sometime this week. Cards84664 20:13, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

nice. I was just poking around to see if anything in Electric Railway Journal was of relevance. -MJ (talk) 20:20, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Cleveland Streetcars again

Do you think Cleveland Railway (Ohio) and Streetcars in Cleveland should be merged? Cards84664 00:38, 27 November 2025 (UTC)

My initial thoughts are no - there seems to be enough coverage of the company to warrant an article on its own distinct from the overview. The history seems to be a lot more tightly knit and drawn out than I thought. That said, there are at least a handful of examples where the case is similar: Los Angeles Railway and Streetcars in Los Angeles; maybe one or two more. The confounding thing I guess is that really everything was brought under Cleveland Railway, so it's a convergence point of the subject. (I think there are probably points to be made about CR that fit outside the scope of the overview article, and I could probably commit at least a little time to beefing it up.) But I dunno, I could probably be swayed either direction. What are your thoughts? -MJ (talk) 10:09, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
I'd say keep them separate if we can find enough info to create articles for some of the predecessors. Cards84664 14:45, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
I don't think that the existence or non-existence of other articles on predecessor streetcar operators has anything to do with the Cleveland Railway article, as long as that article is well sourced. -MJ (talk) 10:10, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

One note about removing archive.today links: even if a site is currently live, if it's not able to be archived by archive.org, it's essentially ensuring the link will be permanently dead someday unless it's archived elsewhere. Fall River Herald News (Special:Diff/1349292857) has been particularly difficult to archive in the past. I think I got it this time, but I was worried about losing the source. Do you have any recommendations for alternative on-demand archiving services? Best, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:33, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

I do understand that, but having an archive of a live url is not a prerequisite for making the source legitimate. according to guidance for WP:ATODAY:
  • If a citation's original URL is still live, and the citation includes an archive.today URL as a pre-emptive archive (WP:EARLYARCHIVE):
    • Remove the archive URL, archive date, and URL status.
    • Ideally replace with an alternative archive, such as from Archive.org.
WP:PUBLISHED goes on to mention for any source: "It is convenient, but by no means necessary, for the copy [of the source] to be accessible via the Internet." -MJ (talk) 22:35, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
Yes, but right before that it says an accessible copy of the media must exist. If a digital-only publication disappears and isn't archived anywhere, then there's no accessible copy and we can't use it any more. I'm concerned especially about smaller digital-only publications, which have a bad habit of closing suddenly. I appreciate your work removing archive.today links - I just want to make sure we're not setting ourselves up for problems later. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 05:07, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
Just so it's known: I'm checking the actual live urls, which is an accessible copy that exists, and only when I can verify beyond any paywalls. MJ (talk) 08:02, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
