I've received a first reviewer response to the Diffeology preprint. Can you insert it? The brief review is from John M Lee, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, University of Washington, Seattle, www.math.washington.edu/~lee or johnmlee@uw.edu.

"I don't know anything abut diffeologies, so I can't really comment on most of the article. But I do have a couple of small comments about the introductory section, which is about smooth manifolds, something I do know about.

In the section "Calculus on smooth spaces," the authors use the term "chart" to refer to a map from an open subset of R^n into the manifold. But the near-universal convention in the current literature is to consider a chart to be a map from an open subset of the manifold to R^n. Maps in the opposite direction are called 'local parametrizations" (or, less frequently, "coordinate patches").

Also in that section, they refer to curves as maps from R to M, and homotopies as maps from R^2 to M. But we frequently need to consider curves defined only on a subinterval of R, and homotopies are always defined on [0,1]^2, not on all of R^2."

• Due to the result of a recent RFC, the administrator recall process is amended to extend the deadline for a re-request for adminship to 30 days or the next administrator election, whichever is later.
• Changes to the Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy's disclosure rules include broadening the consecutive-blocks exception to cover all admin actions and removing the requirement to revision-delete permissible disclosures once they become unnecessary (instead requiring only their removal). See WP:TAIVDISCLOSE for more information.

@Hurricane Clyde Now you know why page split can be a complex operation :) I tried Special:MergeHistory and it's too complex to perform. Open a section on Wikipedia:Requests for history merge and ask someone with more expertise to fix it. OhanaUnited^{Talk page} 21:48, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

Did I do it right?, there’s nowhere I could find on the history merge requests page to actually place a request. It wanted me to tag the article, so I did (see the diff), to add it to a hidden category. Hurricane Clyde 🌀^{my talk page!} 22:02, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

OhanaUnited is confused. History merging/splitting can't do anything here since each edit can only belong on one page, and hence cut-and-paste splits are the normal kind. Seems like I learn something new everyday. I myself was very confused with the whole history merge process. Though I’ve learned for the next time. Though @Pppery, is there some kind of template/header that can be placed on the article or its talk page relating to the split? And if so, which one? Hello. I'm writing to you as you seem to be a prominent participant in WP:WikiProject Environment. Over the past several days, a new user has made major changes to the front page of the subject project, with no discussion about the changes on the Talk page. The user has also made changes to similar WikiProjects on the Spanish Wikipedia. I don't see it in my purview to judge the changes on their merits, as I'm not a listed participant nor even tangentially involved with the project, but the changes are major in at least a visual way. • The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
• Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
