I am not trying to “promote” any caste. My edits were based on cited historical sources, including epigraphic evidence and published historians’ works, which identify Recharla/Recharala Rudra with the name/title “Reddy” and discuss his lineage accordingly.

Wikipedia content should be decided by reliable sources and policy, not by personal assumptions about editor motive. If the issue is with source quality, weight, or wording, please address that specifically. Simply reverting sourced material while characterizing it as “caste promotion” does not engage with the evidence provided.

WP:COMMONNAME applies to article titling, but it does not justify excluding well-sourced historical names, appellations, or lineage information from article content when such details are supported by reliable secondary sources and relevant primary evidence used with due care.

If there is disagreement over inclusion, I would prefer that we discuss which exact sources are considered unreliable or undue, and why. Otherwise, sourced historical information should not be removed without policy-based justification. Please discuss the content, not speculate about my intentions. You are right. Despite presenting multiple proofs and reliable documents, he just reverts the edits simply accusing as caste promotion. I even requested him not to apply today's casteist thoughts to historical figures of 10-12th century. They are Reddies by name, history and their lineage. I don't know what is his problem? Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Recherla Rudra, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name does not follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia.
