- Hi NeoGaze
- Thanks for your feedback! I have looked extensively at the AFL wiki and I can't find a place for it to fit. It's an emerging (and somewhat contentious) agenda, but has seen a significant increase in favour in younger fans of the sport, given its intrinsically novel and inclusive nature. The purpose for this particular article is that it would be contributed to and developed over time - from people with greater access and resources than I. The VFL exists as a completely separate historical competition when considering the additions of teams from other states and leagues, each with their own history. There is an inherent bias and exclusion - an example being the success of a team, such as Port Adelaide, which has won 36 premierships in the SANFL, but that history is ignored because of the Victorian bias to only include premierships from the VFL.
- I believe this page needs its standalone space to give some equity to what the competition is - national and inclusive
- Thanks! Rudilouis (talk) 01:02, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Timtrent
- Thanks for your feedback, too. I'm truthfully unsure how much more succinct I can be - this competition (V/AFL) has evolved - with a particular nexus point being its adaptation from being state-based into nation-based. So far there is no central space to collate statistics for teams in the modern era. The historical era (pre-1990) excludes statistics from all other teams' histories if they did not participate in the VFL. Rudilouis (talk) 09:25, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
