I think I've potentially overwritten some of your edits, but I added reliable sources to that I think we want to keep in the article, as well as toning down subjective/promotional statements that were backed up by non-independent sources. Hi @Zzz plant, ive just seen your edits and I want to thank you for helping with the language of the article! I will admit I do get a bit carried away and over-share a lot of information in a non-encyclopaedic way so I apologise for that, the only change I made was just splitting her Early Life & Education into two separate sections in addition to the specific date of her adoption (November 1st 1937) though i wonder if it is worth including.

I am currently reading her memoir and slowly making changes that can give a bit more insight into her contributions and education. Thank you for providing other reliable sources, I did struggle to find more details beyond her obituary and interviews haha. The Watcher5292 (talk) 22:38, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi, there is no need to apologize, it takes time to get used to Wikipedia's tone and style, and it's great to see you are interested in adding detail to important articles such as this one! You're welcome to split up early life/education if it looks too bulky, and if you want and/or include the date of adoption that's perfectly fine- I think we can consider her autobiography a reliable source for that :)

Also, just a quick thing I noticed in your edit history- I see you are marking a lot of your edits as minor, but "minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word.

I did the exact same thing when I was starting out, it's no big deal, but I just wanted to give you a heads up since it's possible someone else will notice and write to you about it. Thank you and happy editing! Zzz plant (talk) 22:53, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking states, "major examples of the following categories should generally not be linked: Countries (e.g., Brazil/Brazilian, Canada/Canadian, China/Chinese) Geographic features (e.g., the Himalayas, Pacific Ocean, South America) Settlements or municipalities" London and England are both major, that is why the links have been removed. Thank you for crafting this well-written biography for Ashworth, best remembered for his contribution to the Latymer School, where it seems his impact is still felt a century on. Perhaps a little heavily dependent on Morris (1975), but there are now sufficient other sources in support.

And yeah, it does frustrate me that the Morris book is one of the main citations of his life too, but it’s as close to an autobiography as you can get considering the context, I am still looking through other newspapers and local sources to try and balance it out though :D The Watcher5292 (talk) 16:53, 23 August 2025 (UTC)

While I can appreciate you have strong views on the recent edits at Alex Lasarenko, posting about them off-wiki especially in a way that could be seen as attempting to either criticise an editor's actions and/or result in brigading the article is something that is frowned upon. Given the way you've posted I presume you weren't attempting to draw attention on any specific editor and were simply venting about the situation, but in future I'd suggest you refrain from such activity as it could be regarded as inappropriate conduct resembling a personal attack.
