Oh, thanks for the heads up, @S0091: I'll reply there in a bit but I think that specific structure was probably individually notable enough. Yes, I agree. VCannella3, this is a bureaucratic issue between other editors trying to do due diligence regarding some Wikipedia policy and does not reflect poorly on your contributions. I do agree that some of the buidings do not have much information, I actually have been working from the buildings with less information first and further drafts will be more complete, but I agree that perhaps combining some pages might be useful, but I'm not sure if they should be on the main Penn center page as that might too much information at once, please let me know your thoughts on how to approach that. @Pbritti and VCannella3 what do think about a separate list article, similar to List of Washington & Jefferson College buildings? Of course that is a WP:Featured list; the one for Penn Center certainly does not need to be as extensive. Like that example, some buildings will have a stand-alone article some will not. VCannella3, see Washington & Jefferson College#Campus for how it is handled in the main article, which is to add a WP:hatnote to direct the reader to the list. Great! Sometimes my brain works lol. Also note WP:redirects to the list can be created for the buildings that do not a stand-alone article so anyone searching for a particular building will be directed to the list. In fact, any of the drafts you have already created can be turned into a redirect so the history/work is not lost. I think Google picks up redirects as well (at least sometimes) so the list article might show up if someone Google searches for a building (ex. Orchard Cottage). Redirects can also be turned into articles later. For any that do have a stand-alone article, a link to the list should be added in a 'See also' section. S0091 (talk) 15:32, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

Apologies If I missed any earlier questions you might have asked about this as I did not receive a notification. I am not employed by the Penn Center in any capacity. I am merely a student in architecture trying to improve the public facing material of the Penn center as I am interested in the history and architecture of their campus. I visited the Penn Center as part of one of my classes, but we are in no capacity working for the Penn Center. I accidently mis-represented what the situation was and and my relationship with Penn Center in my reply Diannaa's comment, I apologize for the confusion. The walking tour available on the NPS archive is a version of their walking tour no longer in print, and the Penn center no longer uses so it is no longer copyrighted material. I will go ahead and make appropriate edits to the descriptions so that they are not so closely paraphrasing the material. Apologies, I am a new editer to Wikipedia so I am learning as I go. Thanks for the clarification but I am going to press you because you have used the term "working with" in relation to Penn Center and here Lutyens Trust. It's clear you do have an affiliation with Lutyens Trust given you are working on their website. Also please clarify what you mean by we are in no capacity working for the Penn Center. Is "we" the class? If so, I just want to make sure this account is not being shared (see WP:NOSHARING). To be clear, outside of the copyright violations, you have done nothing wrong in your editing or asking for permission to use a photo (in fact, that's great!). However, while you should not reveal any personal identifying information, I want to make sure everything is on the up-and-up/transparent.

As for the walking tour document, it not being used anymore has no bearing on copyright. Do read through that link I provided and you might also find WP:public domain helpful. Copyright is legal matter with implications for both Wikipedia and the person who adds the material. It's also complex so unless it is explicitly clear what the status is, the default is to assume it is not compatible with CC-BY-SA or in the public domain. If you rewrite the content using your own words, that should rectify it either way. Hello, I am working with the Lutyens trust, but I have not been or am ever planning on making Wikipedia articles for them I was simply contacting another editor who had taken a picture of one of his buildings to ask for permission to host his image on the Lutyens Trust gazetteer website. I am not working for the Penn Center in any capacity, I incorrectly represented myself in that comment as an accident. My account is not being shared, I am the only one making edit with it. As for the clarification on "we (me and my class)", I only meant that since I went to the Penn Center with my class as a school sanctioned visit (think like a class trip to see a museum), I wanted to make sure that there was no misunderstanding that my class (and me as I am a part of this class) was working for the Penn center because we are not. I apologize for any confusion there, English is not a strength of mine.

I am glad that I have done nothing wrong in my part as working for the Lutyens Trust, and I try to be as transparent as possible without revealing personal information which is probably why I am having trouble clearly describing that my class (and most importantly me) are not working for the Penn center.

I have already begun re-writing the entirety of the page so that it does not paraphrase (or copy) too closely the walking document. You have explained everything perfectly thus my COI concerns are resolved. Thank you! As far as the copyright issue, the tool is still showing the article is 58% match. Can you see the results here? That is for the entire article so I think you have some more work to do with writing it in your own words. It will still show a match because basic facts will still be picked up (i.e.Cedar Cottage was built in 1907) but you want to get it down to more like 25%. The other issue is only the WP:lead is sourced. The best way to rectify both is to find additional sources which will help you not only source the article but also help prevent copyright violations by summarizing multiple sources. @Pbritti: maybe you can help here. Thank you, I will try to get it down more, I do see the percentage result that you shared. I only had the WP:Lead link to the sources as those five sources cover the entire page and if I copied them for each section it would double them in the references tab. I was hoping to see what effect (Hopefully) my recent edits had on the percentage. I added some more summary information from the very in-depth penn school papers, but am not sure if that is yet enough for the percentage to be closer to 25% so I was curious where the percentage is now. It does not appear it updates which is unfortunate but an editor who specializes in copyright has reviewed the draft, removed some violations and revision deleted the history. Just be careful going forward. For reusing sources, see WP:ERB#Re-using a reference, again and again. I actually recommend using Visual Editor rather than Source. You can switch between the two in the edit window by clicking on the pencil icon on the top right. For adding sources using VE, see WP:INTREFVE (it's so much easier!).
