Your edits that were reverted were mostly social chatting, which, again, is not the purpose of Wikipedia. You also added content to Foxes (disambiguation) but disambiguation pages are only for pointing to the different articles that have similar names.

Cabayi is one of the Wikipedia:Administrators, which means they can block your temporary account (and also prevent you from creating a new one, though we don't usually make that permanent).

Claudine is and ordinary editor who is trying to keep you safe by giving you advice about what's appropriate to post on the internet, and more specifically on Wikipedia. Anybody with an internet connection can read what you post on Wikipedia. That's "anybody", meaning abusers and criminals, too. Therefore, to keep yourself safe, please don't post anything about yourself, your appearance, your family, your location, your school, or anything else that might let a predator find you on another website or in the real world.

One thing that might not be obvious to you is that everyone you're talking to is a lot older than you. Several of us have been editing Wikipedia since before you were born. Most editors are two or three times your age, and some of us (including me) are old enough to be your grandmother. More than half of Wikipedia editors are also men. You are welcome to edit articles, but please don't try "make friends" here, especially with the middle-aged men, who will understandably be freaked out by an underage girl contacting them to "be friends".

If you wanted a task that I think is usually fun, find articles with zero or just one picture. Open the article in the visual editor and choose Insert > Images and media. Search for the name of the article and see if there is anything good to add.

For example, click on https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hoary_fox&veaction=edit to open that article in the visual editor. Open the Images and media dialog box, and put in the name ("Hoary fox" or any of the scientific names). See if there's an image that looks good, is definitely that fox (click "More information" to see if the scientific name on the image matches what the article says), and isn't like the others in the article. Add that image with a short caption (it sometimes suggests captions, but they're usually pretty bad). For example, if you find a picture of baby fox, then you could have a caption of "Young fox kits", or if you add one of a historical drawing by Alice Artist, then you could say that it's an "1880 drawing by Alice Artist", or if it's a drawing of a skull for that kind of fox, then say "Drawing of a skull".

You can also search for images directly at Commons (Wikipedia's shared image site). Another way that usually works is to scroll to the end of the Wikipedia article and see whether there is a link to a Commons category with images (example in that article). Click the link and see if you like any of the images. If you do, copy some/all of the image title, and search for exactly that one in the visual editor's image search. I see it has been reverted. See the comments at the top of this page – the main encyclopaedia content should not have messages or comments like the ones on this talk page.

Just curious: have you seen a traditional printed encyclopaedia? Wikipedia is modelled on encyclopaedias like Encyclopædia Britannica and World Book Encyclopedia. One thing you need to do: If you put new information in an article, you need to put in a reference to a source. Help:Referencing for beginners explains the most popular way to do this. I think you can figure it out, but if it looks too complicated, then you can just paste in the URL for a book in Google Books or a reliable website (something you'd use for school, or even something a university professor would accept, not something like Reddit or social media), then someone else will probably clean it up. It's a genre, so there are lots of authors. I like the Miss Marple series by Agatha Christie, or most of Dandy Gilver by Catriona McPherson for an example of modern authors. These stories were written around 1910 by G. K. Chesterton, a famous Catholic writer of the previous century. I doubt they will find any sort of age-inappropriate content in it.

Okay, so I'm a little bit confused here, what did I do to get blocked INDEFINITELY?! And on CHRISTMAS! So, now I'm over here on CHRISTMAS trying to get unblocked when I SHOULD be havig fun with my FAMILY, like who in their RIGHT MIND would want to block someone on the best day of the year?! And FYI "clearly not here to build an encyclopedia" isn't a good enough answer for me, so you can either unblock me or give me better answer. If you want specific examples, let's look at , where you ask another editor about their opinions on a certain book. Clearly, this serves nothing to improve the encyclopedia. You then ask them personal questions about their identity, which isn't appropriate for several reasons, and again doesn't serve to build the encyclopedia. You have also apparently asked another editor to visit your family business(?) Some leeway is given to user talk pages, but you're only using them for social communication. When I did that whole family business thing my kindle was glitching so I couldn't check the rules or else if I could I swear on MY LIFE AND FUTURE FAMILY I wouldn't have done that if I had known, I really am sorry about all of the trouble I have caused and promise it won't happen again. Also, I would recommend you read WP:RS, as you have to cite everything you add to a reliable source. If you fail to do so, you'll be quickly reverted as you were at Carol of the Bells. Anyway, if you want the admins to take a look at your unblock request, you can use the unblock wizard to help you create the request. Select "I was blocked for something else" and carefully fill out the fields (you do not have to fill out the username one). Think of it as a persuasive essay, and remember to 1) assure us that you'll stop using Wikipedia like a social network, and 2) assure us you'll stop revealing personal info about yourself, and 3) give some concrete examples on how you'll actually contribute to building the encyclopedia. @~2025-31421-40: I would say it's more about becoming mature and developing some WP:CLUE rather than growing older. I would also recommend not screaming at the admins, as they may remove your talk page access. After all, they're trying to do the best they can to protect you and the community.

After a few years have passed, you can just create an account and it should work. If you end up causing similar issues, you'll be blocked again and face much harsher penalities if they ever link that account back to this TA. On the other hand, you could very well end up being a productive contributor to this encyclopedia. I wish you the best of luck and I hope to see you later, whether I realize it or not. Request reason:

I understand that I have made some unfortnate mistakes such as:[1]revealing personal information [2]using the talk page as a commuication page instead of well...what it should be used for._. [3]telling people about my family business [4]exploiting peoples personal information.¬. and a whole lot more and I can see why these mistakes got me to where I am currently because not only can they harm me and my family, but they can also harm the people tht I got involved , but I am prepaired to change all of that by [1]staying away from talk pages (unless I need help with something specificly related to a article) [2]doing the opposite of my mistakes (using the talk pages appropriately so not to harm anyone in the page,keeping mine and other people's information private,etc.) [3]editing articles in ways that are helpful like in the wings of fire article, adding something about the tribes like how different they are and how they both had a way of thinking about how different things would be without certain things and adding all of the descriptions and abilities [4]always thinking about what I do before I do it

I don't like the idea of declining your unblock request, because you are obviously keen to try to contribute helpfully, and I don't want to discourage you. However, I'm afraid it looks as though you probably still don't really understand what the problems are. Posting "fun facts" is suitable on various kinds of websites, such as many web forums, social media sites, or Fandom, but it isn't what Wikipedia is for. Much of what you have posted has been suppressed, so I can't tell what it said, but I get the message that you're quite young. I suggest that you forget about contributing to Wikipedia for now, and come back later, at least a couple of years later, when you may be more ready for fitting into the way Wikipedia works.
I'm leaving your unblock request open now, and if you like you can add more information to show an administrator that you really do understand the reasons for the block, and will do differently in future, but unless you can do that, it is almost certain that, sooner or later, some administrator will decline the request. The fact that we are still discussing your age is half the problem. I started at a young age (not comparing *when* I started), and while I didn't have much of a an idea of what I was doing, I gained it really fast. JBW has stated a very fair assessment of your unblock review. Even your unblock request modified after JBW's comment still doesn't address what Wikipedia is for. You say "the tribes like how different they are and how they both had a way of thinking about how different things would be without certain things" seems like it would very easily fall under WP:INDISCRIMINATE or WP:ORIGINALITY. This is suggesting to us the block, while not a punishment, is needed to prevent harm to the encyclopedia. -- Amanda (she/her) 21:04, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
