Runes
I don't think Wikipedia is the best forum for Q&A regarding something you have around the house, as this is instead an encyclopedia, I will admit you piqued my curiosity, and I had a free hour, so here you go, transcribed into the Latin script based on six historical runic systems, as well as Tolkein's Cirth.
ELDER FUÞARK: 22/28
- HÏLÏN:TRAST
- O**TB:R*Þ*LRIN*U*BS
ANGLO-SAXON FUÞORC: 18/28
- H****:TRÆ*T
- Œ**TB:RUÞ*LRIN*U*BS
MARCOMANNIC RUNES: 18/28
- H*L**:TRA*T
- ***TB:RH**LRI*ÇUNBS
YOUNGER: 20/28

- ***TB:RUÞ*LRINKUABS
MEDIEVAL RUNES: 14/28
- **L**:*R***
- ****B:RUÞ*LRI*QUÆBS
DALECARLIAN R/28

TOLKIEN'S CIRTH: 22/28

As you can see, I can't see that it's really anything. It has some features of many runic systems, and has certain runes (the second and third on the bottom row) that don't appear anywhere—the third looks like a Þ rune with a backwards bowl, if you ask me. --Akhenaten0 (talk) 18:48, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Welcome!
Hi הראש! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
The rule that affects you most as a new or IP editor is the prohibition on making any edit related to the Arab–Israel conflict unless you are logged into an account and that account is at least 30 days old and has made at least 500 edits.
This prohibition is broadly construed, so it includes edits such as adding the reaction of a public figure concerning the conflict to their article or noting the position of a company or organization as it relates to the conflict.
The exception to this rule is that you may request a specific change to an article on the talk page of that article or at this page. Please ensure that your requested edit complies with our neutral point of view and reliable sourcing policies, and if the edit is about a living person our policies on biographies of living people as well.
Any edits you make contrary to these rules are likely to be reverted, and repeated violations can lead to you being blocked from editing.As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

October 30
Hi! I reverted your edit on October 30 as any changes or additions to days of the year pages now require citations and any that aren't are being reverted, please see WP:DOYCITE. The guidelines were changed due to the high number of errors and the number of links to articles with no or little reliable sources. Any names or events added before these guidelines were implemented are currently in the process of being referenced or removed. If you'd like to find out more, please see WP:DAYS. I answered your question at small caps. There are such letters historically, but no Unicode support. — kwami (talk) 22:53, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks.
- While reading about Latin alpha I also wondered if there are letters of Latin origin in an extended version of Greek Alphabet
- 🧡 הראש (talk) 18:23, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, Arvanitic Albanian is/was written in Greek script with the Latin letters b d j added in.
- Cypriot Maronite Arabic is written in Latin script with Greek delta and theta added in, and international Romani is similar. There are several Cyrillic alphabets with a few Latin or Greek letters — kwami (talk) 21:55, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- Now that's a cool script-mixing way to deal with the capital B / capital Beta ambiguity in Arvanitic Albanian!
- I suppose mathematics also mixes Latin and Greek without regard for the ambiguous letters. Despite all the full mathematical Latin and Greek alphabets in Unicode, I wouldn't distinguish capital B from capital Beta in handwriting. Even if conceptually it's at least clear I mean the latter, e.g. for the Euler beta function. Double sharp (talk) 04:34, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
