Why does the Wikiproject say "We raise the visibility of women, women-identified and non-binary journalists" (my emphasis). Wouldn't including non-binary people be a form of 'non-binary phobia' because it implies that non-binary people are women? ―Panamitsu (talk) 03:10, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

I agree, it should say non-binary women. But I can see that's also otherizing, and making womanhood as aptobinary by default. Woman-identified also implies some women don't identify as woman, and some woman-identifying individuals don't experience womanhood. 189.40.71.76 (talk) 13:54, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello all! I’m an employee of New York Public Radio (parent org of WNYC), seeking to update/tighten the organization’s wiki presence, including the addition of a biography for President and CEO Christy Tanner, a Pulitzer-winning journalist and veteran news media leader.

Since I have a COI as an employee, I wanted to reach out to see if this group would be willing to help with this addition. I have a detailed bio with complete citations that I could post and submit for approval, or share for others to draft/add. I’m also aware that the Women in Red group has been active of late, with a priority of increasing the representation of women leaders across fields on wikipedia, and that this group had a related edit-a-thon last year, so I’m hopeful that this addition would serve those aims as well.
