パリ市長（英：mayor of Paris）は、フランスの首都であり最大の都市であるパリの最高執行責任者である。

市長は、市の行政および運営を担い、パリ議会に提案や勧告を提出し、市の条例の執行に関与する。また、市の年間予算を提出し、市職員や各部門の責任者、委員会のメンバーを任命する。さらに、市議会の会議では議長を務める（これはフランスの他のコミューンでも同様である）。パリは県としての機能も兼ねているため、市長は県議会議長と同等の地位も持つ。

2014年 4月5日以降、社会党のアンヌ・イダルゴがパリ市長を務めている。

1789年 7月 14日のバスティーユ襲撃によってフランス革命が始まると、市の反乱勢力は最後の商人長官であったジャック・ド・フレッセルを殺害した。アンシャン・レジームの崩壊とともにこの職は廃止され、その代わりに「パリ・コミューン」と呼ばれる革命政府が設立され、初代パリ市長としてジャン＝シルヴァン・バイイが就任した。

市長職は革命の重要な局面で大きな役割を果たし、とりわけ1793年から1794年の恐怖政治の時期には、反革命と疑われた人物の発見と処刑において決定的な役割を担った。1794年 7月のテルミドールのクーデターによりマクシミリアン・ロベスピエールが失脚・処刑されると、市長職は権力が強すぎるとみなされ廃止された。

1848年の二月革命で七月王政が崩壊し共和国が成立すると、市長職は一時的に復活した。しかし同年の六月蜂起により強力な市長制の維持は断念され、暫定政府である執行委員会は市長の権限を内務省任命のセーヌ県知事に移すことを選んだ。

1870年、普仏戦争での敗北によって第二帝政が崩壊すると、市長職は再び復活した。しかしこれも長くは続かなかった。国防政府のルイ・ジュール・トロシュは、プロイセン軍の包囲下でパリの反乱を防ぐため強力な指導体制が必要だと考えたが、パリ陥落後には社会主義的思想を持つ新たな「コミューン」による蜂起が起きた。

この経験から、政府は将来の反乱に備えてパリを複数の区ごとの市政に分割する方針を取り、都市全体が一度に制御不能になるのを防ごうとした。

その結果、1794年から1977年までの大部分の期間において、パリはフランスで唯一「市長を持たないコミューン」となり、小さな村よりも自治権が弱い状態に置かれた。1800年から1977年までのほとんどの期間（1848年および1870〜71年の短期間を除く）、パリは中央政府により直接統治されていた。

1975年、議会はパリに選挙で選ばれる市長を復活させる法案を可決し、1977年から実施された。この法律は同年12月31日に大統領のヴァレリー・ジスカール・デスタンによって署名された。

そして1977年3月、初の正式な市議会選挙の結果、元首相のジャック・シラクがパリ市長に選出され、1995年にフランス大統領に就任するまでその職を務めた。
