この記事は、これまでに製作された中で高額なミュージックビデオの一覧である。

製作費が50万ドルを超えた最初の作品はデヴィッド・ボウイの1980年の『AshestoAshes』。ランクイン数は、ジャネット・ジャクソンが6作品でトップ。マイケル・ジャクソン、ブリトニー・スピアーズ、浜崎あゆみが5本でそれに続いている。 マイケルとジャネット・ジャクソンの『スクリーム』を制作したマーク・ロマネクは、同作がこれまでに制作されたミュージックビデオの中で最も高額なものの一つとされていたが、その後、この主張を否定し、「スクリーム」よりも数百万ドルの費用がかかった同時代のミュージックビデオが他に2つあったと述べている[1]。 ミュージックビデオではなく短編映画に分類されることもあるマイケル・ジャクソン 「ゴースト」の脚本を務めたミック・ギャリスは、インタビューで次のように述べている。「ゴーストはこれまでに制作されたミュージック・ビデオの中で最も高額なものになりました…。最終的には約1,500万ドルになりましたが、すべてマイケルのポケットマネーから出ています」[2]。
