Australian polling and market-research company From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DemosAU is an Australian based polling, market and social research organisation part of the Australian Polling Council,[2] known for its opinion polling, political and social research, and its use of multilevel regression and post‑stratification (MRP) modelling to better project public opinions from the data collected from the general population.

Foundation

DemosAU is currently directed by George Hasanakos and Evan Schwarten, it was founded in 2023.[citation needed]

Hasanakos is the Head of Research at DemosAU[3] and has worked closely as a political advisor to the Queensland Premier[who?] Treasurer and Speaker of the Queensland Parliament.[citation needed]

DemosAU began publicly releasing federal election voting intention polls in 2024. DemosAU's first opinion poll was a voting intention poll for the Voice to Parliament referendum and was released on 26 September 2023.[4]
