The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) is a Moroccan public establishment responsible for implementing the State's policy in the field of energy efficiency. Based in Rabat, it promotes the rational use of energy and works to improve energy performance.
The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency was established in 2010 under the name National Agency for the Development of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ADEREE).[2]
In 2016, as part of a reform of the energy sector, the agency was refocused on energy efficiency issues and adopted its current name, AMEE.[3]
