Under Organic Law 02-12, certain institutions are classified as "strategic," and their heads are appointed by the King in the Council of Ministers.[2]

- Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG)
- OCP Group, formerly Office Chérifien des Phosphates
- National Railways Office (ONCF)
- Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN)
- Royal Air Maroc
