Support with proviso I support merging Trillion Peso March and Baha sa Luneta into September 2025 Philippine protests, and a redirecting of both the previous topics to the latter. This is because the two events had similar backgrounds, and thus share a lot of content. But I feel that there should be an emphasis that the two were separate events, arising as they did from two different coalitions who (distinct despite being supportive of each other) chose the same date because it marked the 53rd anniversary of Martial law under Ferdinand Marcos.   Changing my stance given closer review of precedent (e.g., No Kings protest) where all related protests are covered by a single article even if there are especially notable protests with higher notability that others. My current stance is weak support towards merging BSL and TPM into September 2025 Philippine protests. I still strongly support my other point in that BSL and TPM should be merged into any singular article: despite some news sources distinguishing between the two, there is significant overlap. In any case, I also strongly suggest that the merged article contain subsections covering BSL and TPM separately given their special notability.

  When the reactions, response, etc. are all essentially similar or deviate only slightly from each other, it's best to consider this as a "series of protests" article rather than have two articles with sections that have essentially the same sources. The August 2025 Indonesian protests article is a potential model to follow; the length may be a bit too long for that article specifically, but for our own protests (even including the ones yesterday), I doubt that we'd have enough content for the article to be uncomfortably long.   WP:PAGEDECIDE is also a relevant factor here. Sure, both events are notable on their own, but does splitting really aid the reader's understanding of either? I don't think there's much that other articles can provide context on which can't already be included into this page. Even despite differing organizers, they're essentially grouped up into one big "anti-corruption" protest.   Ok makes sense. No Kings protests sets a precedent as it also has a flagship event (the one in Philadelphia) and multiple other events, but all covered in a single article.

  To emphasize that the articles are redundant, Trillion Peso March#Demands and Baha sa Luneta#Demands are absolutely identical, with even sharing the same reference.   The complexity of that article seems to come from its coverage of very specific events and the more liberal usage of nesting subsections (Heading 3 and beyond), not necessarily from it merging all protest activities under one article. We can avoid this even with a merged article by more judicious editing and better use of top-level sectioning. Let's continue to discuss readability elsewhere to avoid getting off-topic. • Support and reminding everyone that the objective here is to be an accessible and readable online encyclopedia. There's a lot of recency bias going on and, coupled with some editorial zeal, has resulted in many of these articles being overly detailed and too long. Do we really need a list of celebrities spotted in the crowd or a blow-by-blow account of performance numbers? Why does the article on the EDSA protests have a casualties number when the violence happened in a completely different city? It's only highlighting why a merge is needed in the first place.   It appears that the term "Trillion Peso March" refers either to the movement or to the organizers of the said protests.   They seem to be the following the template of the 2016–2017 South Korean protests. The people behind the "Trillion Peso March" are numerous. Who gets dibs if they all quarrel later on down the road? Would it still be "Trillion Peso March" if a certain org stops participating? That's why I'd go with 2 separate articles, September 21, 2025 anti-corruption protests in the Philippines, and 2025 anti-corruption protests in the Philippines.
