Talk:Atlantic Shark Institute

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi there @Tomaskoeck! I made a number of changes to this page to help with the process of getting it approved. I did some basic searches, added independent, reliable, published sources for each paragraph. I then removed any statement that was not clearly NPOV and/or, perhaps frustratingly for you as the first author, was produced by ASI itself.

I think this is probably a stub now that establishes why it should be here with sufficient independent coverage, and will help you or other editors expand it. Hopefully this is helpful, if not please revert with my apologies! EagleRaymond (talk) 05:56, 7 February 2023 (UTC)

Thank you @EagleRaymond! Much appreciated. Tomaskoeck (talk) 18:03, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

Comments left by AfC reviewers

  • Comment: The Boston Globe sources are decent. Otherwise though, the depth of coverage and reliability of the sources is lacking and is not enough to pass WP:CORPDEPTH. TipsyElephant (talk) 02:41, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: The sources are things someone from the Institute has commented on, or otherwise provide only passing mentions (and that silly Megalodon clickbait story!); none of these establish notability per WP:GNG. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:04, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
