Comments

  • Knapp played one season for the Chiefs and later one for the Green Bay Packers, maybe clarify that although he played one season for the Packers, he was on their team for 2? The way the sentence is written, it makes it look like the infobox is wrong.
  • while he later increased his size-->but he later increased his size
  • but ultimately did not
  • References:
    • All appear reliable for what is being cited
    • All are consistently formatted
    • Spot checks: 2, 3, 7, 9, 13, 14

Nice work. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 21:21, 6 May 2026 (UTC)

  • BeanieFan11, just a reminder on this one. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 20:05, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
    • Changed no. 2 and no. 3. For your first point, I put, "Knapp spent two years with the Chiefs and two with the Green Bay Packers, although he only played in one season for each team. He was a part of the Packers' Super Bowl XXXI championship team." Does that work? BeanieFan11 (talk) 20:09, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
      • Yeah that works. Passed. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 20:19, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

    • BeanieFan11, do we have more information about the commercial? This is certainly an interesting hook, but I'm not sure if playing basketball against is accurate. Taking the interview/quotes at face value, a commercial was being shot and Knapp was picked as an extra. Without additional sources, we don't know if the footage of Knapp playing Jordan was actually included in the commercial, nor do we seem to have independent sourcing of the commercial itself (the newspaper article provides mostly only the quote from Knapp). • @Vermont: Lindsay Knapp holds a distinction probably no other offensive lineman in college football can match. The Notre Dame senior tackle may be the only offensive lineman to have played basketball against Michael Jordan - THE Michael Jordan - on national television. – that seems to pretty clearly indicate that he both played basketball against Jordan and that the footage was in the commercial, no? BeanieFan11 (talk) 15:47, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
        • BeanieFan11, you're right. I'd misread may be as hedging against his interview quotes being wrong/him not being included in the actual footage. It is instead quite clearly hedging against another player having that distinction. Thanks for the clarification, and have a . Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 17:38, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
