Read the article, will poke at sources after I finish reading WP:GA? and WP:GAI. In solidarity, wertercatt (Talk, Contribs) 13:29, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
I do wonder if we could move the .mil PDFs to Commons for WikiSource to take a crack at? Could make for an easier browser load to have those converted to HTML by the contributors over there. Also given this administration's propensity to delete things unexpectedly. In solidarity, wertercatt (Talk, Contribs) 13:52, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- I heard of some people doing that. I don't know them though. :( Ominae (talk) 14:00, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- As one of the contributors on there, I'll try and gradually get those started over time. I do have a bit of a concern on the lead paragraph, could it be lengthened from two sentences? There's also only a passing mention of MACS 2000 despite that being the header image, while all previous versions of the system got a full paragraph at least. Given that it's the header image, I feel like we either needs more detail on it or for the header image to be swapped with File:US Army Training Support Center MACS use.jpg later on the page. - Also, looking at the Infobox, it only lists two variants (MACS, MACS 2000) while the article lists four (MACS Apple II Plus, MACS Commodore 64, MACS SNES, MACS 2000.) Could this be updated? In solidarity, wertercatt (Talk, Contribs) 14:44, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- Any specifics? I mean, the previous editors had those listed (and can't find anymore details...). As on the lead paragraph, I'll give it a shot. I may not be here for long as it's going to get late here. Ominae (talk) 14:48, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- I don't think an infobox is really useful for this article, at least certainly not a list of versions in it. The list would be immense and there's no special reason to put just "MACS" and MACS 2000. The article does not cover all early versions even in the prose. And there just is not enough information available to us online to know if MACS 2000 is the latest version or not, but it probably isn't. 3df (talk) 17:13, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- Then having the variants line removed from the infobox entirely would be better, imo. In solidarity, wertercatt (Talk, Contribs) 17:35, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
